Het Plein in The Hague is the place to be for a spot on a sidewalk terrace in the sun, surrounded by restaurants and bars that are pleasantly bustling from early morning until late at night. Amid all those terraces, you’ll find Nosh, a venue that—in addition to a cozy terrace—really shows, especially indoors, just how complete a night out can be. The four of us were invited to their opening party and discovered a place where dinner, drinks, dancing, and music don’t happen one after the other, but flow seamlessly into one another.

From Millers to Nosh: a new concept on the Plein

Anyone who knows The Hague a little might still remember Millers at this location. Since April 2026, that’s a thing of the past: the building has been completely renovated and reopened as Nosh. Whereas Millers focused primarily on a young, party-going crowd, Nosh deliberately targets a slightly older audience. Not people who come just for a drink and a dance, but those looking for a full night out: first a good meal, then a cozy drink, and only then onto the dance floor.

You notice that difference the moment you step inside. The space is spacious, with circular seating areas along the edges where you can sit, eat, drink, and chat, and plenty of room in the center to mingle while standing with a drink in hand or to dance later in the evening. It’s a layout that evolves with the evening: refined and atmospheric during dinner, more relaxed and energetic as the clock ticks on.

What can you expect when you visit Nosh?

Nosh is open seven days a week, from lunch until late at night. During the day, the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed—a great spot to have lunch or just grab a cup of coffee on the terrace overlooking the Plein. As soon as night falls, the atmosphere changes noticeably: it becomes more sophisticated, more energetic, and features a program designed to keep you entertained all evening.

You can choose from a menu of small plates to share or simply a full à la carte menu for those who prefer a proper dinner.

Our Visit to Nosh

We chose to share a variety of bites, including prawns, tuna tacos, gyoza, Korean chicken, and boneless ribs. We were served several delicious cocktails along with them—and, wisely, some water on the side. In the background, there was lively dance music provided by a live DJ.

As the evening progressed, the volume of the music slowly increased. Starting around 10 p.m., guests are invited to hit the dance floor, with performances by DJs, dancers, and musicians setting the mood. The great thing is that none of this feels forced: you can just as easily stay put in your seat with a cocktail and simply enjoy the show as you can hit the dance floor yourself.

It’s precisely that overall experience—from a cozy dinner to a lively evening—that sets Nosh apart from a typical bar or club.

Why Nosh Is Worth a Visit

There are plenty of places in The Hague where you can eat well and plenty of places where you can go out. Nosh combines both into a single evening, without compromising on either. You start with a dinner or appetizers that are seriously worth it, transition effortlessly into drinks with great cocktails, and end the evening dancing to a mix of live music and DJ sets. For anyone looking for a night out that goes beyond just dining or just partying, Nosh on the Plein is an excellent choice.
