The temperature is rising ever so slightly in the coming period and it’s summer vacation time everywhere, so everyone get outside! And where better to enjoy the summer than at the coast? We have found the best beach restaurants where you can get the vacation feeling.

Beach bars to suit everyone’s taste

So what are the best beach bars to visit during the 2019 season? That depends, of course, very much on what you are looking for. Do you want to be in the middle of the bustling beach life or rather be able to enjoy sun, sea, beach and peace and quiet? Or are you a real water rat and do you prefer to be on the water? Here is an overview of our tips!

Hart Beach Quicksilver Surfschool

Hart Beach is perhaps the most sporty beach club in Scheveningen. You can find Hart Beach near the Vissershavenweg and it is a surf school, surf shop & hang out in one! From here you can get on your own board, rent surfing equipment, take lessons or just enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. In addition, Hart Beach regularly organizes fun activities and participates in various Scheveningen events. So definitely worth a visit if you are in Scheveningen. Hart Beach is open all year round.

Surf and Beach beach pavilion

Surf and Beach is a completely renovated beach pavilion. You can find this beach pavilion in Katwijk aan Zee. So if you want to enjoy an afternoon at the beach in a modern and trendy beach club, this is the place to be. In addition, Surf and Beach works closely with the adjacent surf school so you can easily rent a board or arrange a lesson for a few hours of fun on the water. Book directly

Pavilion Stormvogel Oostvoorne

For all Dutch divers Paviljoen Stormvogel in Oostvoorne is certainly a familiar place. After all, who has not had one of his dives in the Oostevoornse Meer during his training and settled down afterwards at the Stormvogel? But even without diving training, the Stormvogel is a cozy base to sit down, have a bite to eat and enjoy the aquatic life around you. After all, the place is teeming with divers, surfers and kite surfers so there’s always something to see.

Outside

Beachclub Buiten is located on the Zwarte Pad. This piece of beach is located just outside the Boulevard of Scheveningen behind the Carlton Beach hotel. This is considered the most beautiful piece of beach in Scheveningen. The atmosphere at Buiten is relaxed and cozy, as it should be! You can chill here and hang out at one of the lounge spots while enjoying relaxing music. And of course you can also enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner here. Whoosah

Whoosah has been known for its food for years. It is extremely original and contains a lot of oriental influences. But you can eat at Whoosah from the moment the sun rises. Have a nice breakfast with a healthy green shake and a nice cup of coffee. And during the day you can choose from a variety of sandwiches, salads and homemade pies. From 5 p.m. order one of the delicious main courses or if you can’t choose the Whoosah combo; a big board with a little bit of everything.

Beachclub O

Beachclub O is the place to be in Noordwijk. Here it is see and be seen. You are not welcome here in a swimsuit or bikini. The dress code here is hip and happening. So don’t be surprised to regularly meet familiar faces here. And of course we are not talking about faces from your own circle of friends but from our Dutch celebrities.

Mangos

If you go to Zandvoort beach, then you should definitely sit down at Mango’s. At Mango’s they have created a Spanish-like village with different pavilions. You will see olive and palm trees everywhere, lovely lounge chairs and there is a casual Cuban atmosphere!

Beach tents where you can chill out

Are you more in search of peace and quiet? Then we have also found nice beach bars where you can chill out while enjoying a snack and a drink.

Pavilion a/d Plas

Right on the beach of the Ouderkerkerplas in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel you will find the atmospheric Beach pavilion a/d Plas, where you can not only have a quick and tasty meal to be on time for your concert or soccer game, but you can also chill out or sit down after a nice walk in the surrounding nature. When the weather is nice, you can relax on a beach bed or on the terrace, or if you want to throw a party, this is the right place. a/d PLAS is open daily from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 a.m. and parking is free.

Beach resort Nederzandt

If you are in Noordwijk, a visit to the hip, sustainable location Nederzandt should not be missed! With a lovely terrace, a beautiful nature reserve and the beach on your doorstep, this is a great place to stay for lunch, drinks or dinner! This hidden gem is quietly located in the beautiful nature reserve on the Langevelderslag in Noordwijk. On the way to the beach you can already encounter a pack of grazing deer on the driveway, which will raise their heads in curiosity for a moment while you quietly drive by. Upon arrival at the destination you will not find a boulevard where you can walk over heads, but pure nature! Here you can really escape the crowds and enjoy the delicious food, drinks and beautiful views.

Lead Ten in Breskens

The coast of Zeeland is also a great place to be in the summer! If you are in the vicinity of Breskens, do not skip beach tent Loods Tien! Here you can enjoy the friendly atmosphere of Zeeland and delicious food and drinks. Can’t choose from all the goodies on the menu? Then just take the “Happas”, because then you can taste a lot of different, small dishes. Are you bringing your kids? They can have a great time on the beach. You have a good view of them from the terrace, so enjoyment for the whole family!

Brunotti Beachclub

Brunotti Beachclub is located just like the Stormvogel on Oostvoorne. The place is buzzing with water sports enthusiasts, especially divers. You can take surfing and kitesurfing lessons, buy water sports clothing and equipment, but also just enjoy a day out on the water. Oostvoorne is a beach that does not belong to the popular tourist beaches. Here you will find more locals, water sports enthusiasts and people looking for peace and quiet. So no fighting for a spot to lay down your towel. And the stretch of beach in front of the beach club is fenced off by the jetty where the divers enter and exit the water so it’s a safe and orderly stretch of beach to let your kids play around. In the shallow water within the fence or in the playground on the beach. In addition, there is always a place on the terrace to enjoy a delicious lunch or a refreshing drink.

Suiderstrand

Suiderstrand is the southern beach club of Kijkduin. You reach Suiderstrand by walking across the dunes onto the beach at Strandslag 2a. A beach tent with no real neighbors and a view of the Sand Motor, a constructed artificial sandbar in the shape of a peninsula that helps keep the Dutch coastline firm in a natural way. So you can keep a close eye on your playing children here.

Here you can enjoy the most delicious smoothies, sandwiches and other delicacies in a Caribbean-styled atmosphere, while with the sun on your head you have a view of a piece of nature, sea and water sports. Because on this part of Kijkduin you will find the most water sports people together. So ‘sit down, and relax’ at Suiderstrand.
