When I used to go shopping with girlfriends, we often chose Breda as our shopping city. Recently I visited Breda again and actually nothing has changed: you can still store to your heart’s content in this fun city! We investigated the nice shopping streets for you.

Indoor shopping in the Barony

Indoor shopping mall De Baronie is perfect for when the weather is a bit off. Here you will find stores like Bershka, Pull & Bear, Sissy-Boy, Tierelantijn – Watches & Jewels and The Sting. This is also the right place for a cup of coffee, as this is also where Koffie bij Teun is located. De Baronie regularly hosts fun activities such as Easter egg hunts, the Merry Spring Parade and much more. So do not skip this shopping center when you visit Breda!

Houtmarkt

One of the newest shopping streets in Breda is the Houtmarkt. The street has even proclaimed itself the nicest shopping street in Breda. There is a relaxed atmosphere, lots of greenery and of course there are nice stores, concept stores and restaurants. You can find everything in the field of fashion, gifts lifestyle, jewelry and much more! Stores like Jollywood, Be-You-Tiful, Mike’s, Dstrezzed and Candles & Cards. You’ll be here for a while!

Nice shopping streets in Breda

Besides the covered shopping streets, a city like Breda also has a lot of ordinary shopping streets where everything is for sale. Whether you are looking for something specific or for inspiration: you will find it all here. Fun shopping streets in Breda are the Veenmarktstraat, where you can find a Cup of Cake, My Jewellery, Omoda, Dot and Julot and Vanilla, among others, but the Sint Annastraat is just as fun. This is one of the oldest streets in Breda and besides nice stores you will also find characteristic buildings.

The Wilhelminastraat and the Boschstraat are also very cozy. Ginnekenstraat, Eindstraat and Karrestraat together even form one long shopping arcade. ‘t Sas, finally, at the foot of the Grote Kerk is also really the place to be as far as shopping is concerned! It is a hidden gem, but within steaming distance of the Grote Markt and the Baronie.

Grab a terrace on the Grote Markt

Shopping makes you hungry and thirsty, so make sure you take plenty of breaks. On the Grote Markt you will find all kinds of cozy terraces. ‘t Hart van Breda is Breda’s most famous terrace where you can enjoy lunch, drinks and dinner à lá grand café. Burgundy is enjoyed in the Boterhal and every meat lover is a bit in love with Ribs Factory. Here you can eat the most delicious spareribs as well as other types of meat as meat is meant to be. At drinks bar Samsam it is always fun and grill restaurant Con Fuego serves every dish with love. At Café Zeezicht you can enjoy lunch and taste the best local beers.
