Home beauty tips!

As we have gotten used to working from home more, we don’t always have to look tiptop anymore. Still, it’s important to do something about your appearance every day because it makes you feel much better about yourself. We have fun (and easy) beauty tips for you that you can just do at home!
Take care of your hair at home
Do you dye your hair? Then you probably go to the barber regularly to touch up your outgrowth. But sometimes you don’t manage to do this in time. Then John Frieda can help! John Frieda has a powder that takes care of your outgrowth. L’Oréal has no less than two sprays that can cover up your outgrowth, Magic Retouch and Hair Touch Up. And then there is TouchBack’s hair marker that comes in no less than 8 different shades.
Especially with dyed hair, it is important that you take good care of your hair at home. Always use conditioner after washing your hair and give it a nice weekly hair mask. No hair mask at home? Try mashing a ripe banana and spreading it through your hair. Let it soak in and you will have beautiful shiny hair! Another beauty tip: After washing your hair, rinse it with cold water. This closes the cuticles better and gives you a beautiful shine.
Beauty tips for beautiful skin
In the fall, our skin is often dry and tight. In any case, do not shower too hot! This causes even drier skin. Also, do not use ordinary soap, but an oil-based shower cream. A good scrub will also do wonders for your skin. It removes all dead skin cells. Don’t have a scrub at home and would rather not go out? Then take some granulated sugar and mix it with honey. This will give you a super soft skin.
After the shower, apply body lotion from head to toe and you are good to go! Additional advantage: you smell nice all day long.
A radiant face
Now it’s your face’s turn. In any case, beauty tips for healthy facial skin include; going to bed on time, avoiding alcohol and cigarettes, and fresh air. Now it may be difficult to keep a steady rhythm and the days flow more easily into each other, but try to go to bed on time every night. A glass of wine is okay, but don’t drink more than usual during this time. Smoking is not good for you anyway, so this is a good time to stop.
Getting some fresh air every day is also a good idea. It will make your skin very happy. Also, clean your face every night, before going to bed. Even if you don’t wear makeup, your skin is exposed to all kinds of things throughout the day. And drinking plenty of water is also very good for your skin.
Tired eyes
Everyone suffers from tired and burning eyes from time to time. A face mask that you can put in the refrigerator is great for that. Don’t have that in the house? Then the oh-so-familiar slice of cucumber is fine too! Did you watch too much Netflix for too long and have huge puffiness? Make some coffee powder with water, carefully rub it under your eye and let it soak in. Be careful not to get it in your eye! After that, you can definitely get ahead of yourself again.
Dry lips
Indoors, the humidity is less than outdoors. You notice this in various things, but especially in your lips. They dry out much faster than normal. Using Labello sometimes even makes the problem worse: by applying it frequently you actually make it worse and can’t live without it. You can also deal with your dry lips with home remedies (well, maybe not from the garden). Mix half a teaspoon of (brown) sugar with a little water and gently scrub your lips.
Repeat this twice a week. You will notice that your lips are less dry and the skins disappear as well. Gently massaging with a toothbrush also works wonders.
Homemade facial mask
Could your skin really use some extra care? Then make yourself a tasty facial mask! For example, with a ripe avocado. Mash the avocado until it becomes a smooth mixture and spread it on your face. Let it soak in and you will look like new. Yogurt and honey are also a perfect combination for your skin. Mix one part honey with one part yogurt, blend, apply, let it soak in and you’re done! By the way, smiling a lot does wonders for your skin too.
Don’t see yourself brewing something at home? Then Blitz has great facial products for you, like those from Babor. They have a webshop, so you don’t even have to leave the house for it!
Rough, dry hands
Ai, in the fall we also get massively dry hands. Washing hands a lot and the cold outside air one day doesn’t help either. Keep lubricating with body lotion or hand cream. Feel like that’s not working? Then apply night cream to your hands before bed and go to sleep with gloves on. Probably not the most comfortable, but the next day your hands will be reborn!
Help! I’m static!
Another annoying side effect of being home a lot is the fact that you are probably getting shocks all day long right now. That’s because the humidity in the house is low and it’s cold outside. Now the temperature and humidity may not be something you can do anything about in a 1-2-3 instant, but there are solutions that make static charge less! Dry skin creates static woes. Body lotion and a moisturizing hand cream help combat this. A good moisturizing face cream also works wonders. Wear linen or cotton clothing as much as possible and definitely no rubber soles.
Static hair
Unfortunately, we all have to deal with this from time to time. Your hair either stands in all directions or falls flat along your head. Both are not great, so here are some beauty tips again. Try to wash your hair as little as possible. This is a little easier for some to do than others. But really, the more often you wash your hair, the more static it will be. Then when you do wash your hair, use a cream rinse. This counteracts static hair as well. If you really want to do it right, spray hairspray in your hair after washing. Hairspray against frizzy hair works best.
