Fun television in the fall
The summer vacations are over and that means there are all kinds of new programs on television again. But you don’t have to be bored on Netflix and Videoland either. Here are our television tips for the new season!
Viewing tips on television
Sit back and relax, because there are a lot of great programs coming up! For the programs below you don’t need a special subscription and you can just watch them on regular television!
The Voice Senior
Starting Friday, August 27, a new season of The Voice Senior will be on television. We are a bit “talent show tired” at home, but for this version we make an exception. You can watch this program on RTL 4.
The Meiland Family
You either love it or hate it: the Meiland Family program. The sixth season is just around the corner and on Monday, August 30! A new adventure (in the Netherlands) is about to begin and of course you can be there. Twice a week, because they are on television on Mondays and Thursdays. You can see them on SBS.
Heel Holland Bakt One More Time
Starting Sunday, September 5, baking enthusiasts can indulge themselves again during Heel Holland Bakt. But this season something special is going on, because old friends are participating. Heel Holland Bakt Nog een Keer can be seen on Omroep Max.
Expedition Robinson 2021
On Aug. 29, the new season of Expedition Robinson begins again on television! It promises to be spicy again this year, because the candidates are not on a tropical but a Croatian island! Want to know who is participating? Have a look here. Expedition Robinson can be seen every Sunday and Thursday on RTL 4.
Viewing tips on Netflix
Also on Netflix there are new titles, new seasons of your favorite series are released and old acquaintances are coming back! Just in your own living room. We have made a selection that will definitely drag you through the fall season.
I Need Romance
Okay, you really need to turn on your subtitles for this series, because it is completely Korean. But what entertaining romantic series those Koreans always make. Like I Need Romance. In this series you follow a young workaholic who has had it with love. Until she meets an old flame. And he does everything in his power to win her heart. The first season is on Netflix from August and has 16 episodes.
Bake Squad
Are you a big fan of Heel Holland Bakt and The Great British Bake-Off? Then Bake Squad is probably something for you too! Only here expert bakers get to work with the batter and the most delicious fillings. The first season of Bake Squad can be seen from August 2021 and has 8 episodes.
Valeria
In the Spanish series Valeria, you follow a writer who finds herself in both a creative and marital crisis. Her three best friends do everything they can to support their friend and get her back on track. A cozy series with already 2 seasons (the second season will be available from August). Perfect for autumnal days!
Downtown Abbey
Yep, Downtown Abbey is back with a vengeance! This historical drama is totally suitable for anyone who loves English series with a touch of history. There are no less than six seasons of it, so you won’t be bored for a while!
Chesapeake Shores
Starting in August, there will be a brand new season (the fifth already) of the successful series Chesapeake Shores on Netflix. This series revolves around a successful career woman and single mother who returns to a small town in Maryland to settle down with her family. Great binging on rainy days, then!
Watch tips on Videoland
Videoland also has a lot of entertaining programs for you. Some of these programs you can just watch on television (only then you can look ahead at Videoland), but some of these programs are no longer available.
Temptation Island – Love or Leave
Temptation Island is one of those programs that unfortunately can no longer be seen on television. Once in a while it was just wonderful to watch, very entertaining. Starting August 26, the new season begins on Videoland. Four couples are going to test if their relationship is strong enough to withstand all the handsome single ladies and gentlemen. This time all the drama takes place in Italy.
Love Island UK
Another program that unfortunately is no longer on the tube but is still on Videoland is Love Island. Love Island UK is set in a beautiful villa in Mallorca, Spain. They have to form couples. But beware because there are hijackers on the coast! Who gets to stay in the villa the longest?
Doctor Roman
Doctor Roman is a brand new series and not just one, but this is a real GTST mini-series! GP Roman van Loon is suspected of stalking his ex, so he is questioned by the police. Roman denies, of course, but is he as innocent as he seems? Through flasbacks, it’s up to you to decide whether the charges against GP are true or not.
