Enjoy skating at the nicest skating rinks

Unfortunately, the Netherlands does not have very harsh winters anymore, making it often life-threatening to go on natural ice. Fortunately, there are plenty of outdoor skating rinks in the Netherlands where every skating enthusiast can enjoy skating to the fullest.

The whole winter skating at Knus in Delft

This year you can skate again on the coziest terrace in Delft, namely the terrace of Knus. You can skate here from November to February! Come enjoy a winter wonderland by the cozy campfire, get warm with mulled wine and hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream. You don’t have to have your own skates because you can just rent them.

The ice rink in Gouda

This year the Goudse IJsbaan will be held for the sixth time. From December 18 to January 12, 2025, you can once again skate laps around Gouda’s beautiful old town hall. As an ice-skating enthusiast, this atmospheric rink is not to be missed! Each round is 200 meters long. All kinds of activities are organized so be sure to take a look this winter!

The Floating Rink in Leiden

This year it will be there again: the Floating Skating Rink of Leiden! From December 7 to January 5, 2025 you can skate again on the Nieuwe Rijn. Skates can be rented on site, so that saves lugging them around.

Winter Station in Utrecht

During Winter Station, from December 21, 2024 to January 5, 2025, countless lights, Christmas decorations and an antique carousel will bring the entire Spoorwegmuseum into a romantic winter atmosphere. With the absolute highlight: ice skating between the trains!

In the museum hall there is a real ice rink where you can skate around an antique steam locomotive. You can borrow skates for free, but you can’t reserve them in advance. For children there is a separate scrabble rink, for them there are special skating racks available. The koek and zopie can of course not be missed. Around the ice rink everyone can enjoy delicious food and drinks, while the children have fun on the slippery skates.

Cool Event Scheveningen

From November 9 to February 9, 2025 you can show off all your skating skills during the Cool Event Scheveningen. You can skate here on the beautiful Kurhausplein. This skating rink is open daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. Besides lots of skating fun, all kinds of fun events are organized such as silent discos and skating shows.

Lots of skating fun in Rotterdam

The indoor skating rink in Rotterdam is already a very special experience in itself. From November 23 you can already enjoy the fun rink and curling rink. Also in the 400 meter long skating tunnel. This tunnel can be spectacularly illuminated making the winter fairy tale complete! You will find the skating rink in Sportpark Toepad, where you can organize various fun clinics, winter games and children’s parties in addition to skating. You can come and skate until February 22, 2025!

Enjoy the winter in Maastricht

At the Vrijthof, you will find again this year a 900 m² ice skating rink for many hours of ice fun. The skating rink is covered with a transparent roof. So you have the idea that you are actually skating outside! Children can get their skating diploma there. There is also a sky high Ferris wheel and you can shop to your heart’s content! Magical Maastricht can be visited from November 28 to December 30, 2024.
