Shopping in Utrecht with your daughter
As far as we are concerned, Utrecht has been one of the best cities in the Netherlands for shopping for years. We have already spent several days wandering around the city center, along the canals, through the alleys to visit the best stores, restaurants and terraces. It is always fun to go out with one of your girlfriends. But even more fun if you have a daughter who also loves shopping, to spend a day shopping with her in Utrecht. PS: Now with the current coronagraphs shopping is not possible for a while, but we are happy to give you inspiration for when it is possible again!

Shopping around the Oudegracht
If you want a day of shopping, Utrecht is the place to be. Here you can walk along the canals through the cozy shopping streets while the Dom Tower looks down on you. Along the Oudegracht are many large and well-known clothing stores, such as the H&M, Pull&Bear and Urban Outfitters. But as you walk further into town, you come across more and more small stores where you can also shop very nicely. Utrecht is also the right place for vintage stores. In Episode, Vintage Island, Sussies Vintage and many other stores you can find the most beautiful second-hand clothes.
Indoor shopping
If the weather is not so good you can also shop indoors in Hoog Catharijne. This shopping center is recently renovated and has a nice modern atmosphere and of course lots of stores. Underneath this large shopping center is a parking garage and it is adjacent to Central Station, so the stores are easy to reach. Bike parking Vredenburg is also within walking distance of the stores.
Browse the market
As soon as you walk out of the mall you come to Vredenburgplein. There is a market here every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. From the tastiest fish to the most colorful flowers, you can find everything here. At Broodje Mario, on the Oudegracht, they sell the most delicious Italian bulbs. On a day out in Utrecht this can’t be missed, because shopping on an empty stomach is of course no fun ;).
