Visit a small theater!

Going to a show is always fun and can be done anywhere in the Netherlands. But have you ever been to a small theater where you immediately feel at home? Cozy, cozy and also surprisingly fun? We have tips for you!

Korzo Theatre – The Hague

One of our personal favorites is Korzo Theater in The Hague. This small theater has a lot of character and offers a stage for both professionals and amateurs. Dance, music, circus, youth performances, Korzo has it all. Have you become curious? Check out Korzo ‘s agenda and be surprised!

Theater Dakota – The Hague

Theater ‘t Kapelletje – Rotterdam

A really small theater, but very cozy, is Theater ‘t Kapelletje in Rotterdam. This theater is located in the former chapel of the Emma House and is close to the city center. This is the stage for amateur arts with an intimate and characteristic atmosphere. There are only 90 seats and after the performance you can chat with other visitors in the cozy foyer. Theater De Krakeling – Amsterdam

This small theater in Amsterdam, Theater de Krakeling, is a real family theater. All performances are aimed at children and young people so they can taste culture with their parents in a cozy theater.

The theater is 40 years old, has an open character and no stage. You are in fact in the middle of the performance. Afterwards you can enjoy a nice snack and drink in the foyer of this cozy theater. View the agenda here.

The Werftheater – Utrecht

Another special small theater is Het Wer ftheater in Utrecht. Het Werftheater has been around for 40 years and has been the platform for cabaret, cabaret, stand-up comedy and improv theater all that time. Want to know what’s on in the near future? Take a look at the agenda.

Theater Bouwkunde – Deventer

The cozy center of Deventer is also home to a very nice little theater. Theater Bouwkunde is part of a 14th century monastery complex and has only one hall that can be completely converted for each performance. Theater Het Heerenlogement – Beusichem

Theater Heerenlogement is located in a former horse stable and has an intimate, cozy and casual atmosphere. With its 130 seats, it is a small stage for big names, but also young talent is featured. You will find this theater in Beusichem, in the heart of the Betuwe. Annually its provide about 40 performances. You can find the performances here. Afterwards you can have a delicious meal in the restaurant.
