Winter Castle Muiderslot
What was it like to spend the winter in a castle? Was it comfortable or just freezing cold? You can get answers to these and other questions at the Muiderslot through February 23. During the winter months, the already beautiful castle is extra atmospheric with set tables, candles and beautiful furnishings. The Muiderslot is open in winter from Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Fun for young and old alike!
Art Below Zero in Amsterdam
All through February, you can enjoy Art Below Zero in Amsterdam’s Central Market Hall: Europe’s largest ice sculpture festival. This year’s focus is the 750th anniversary of Amsterdam. The city’s rich history is depicted in 350,000 kilograms of ice! The ice sculptures are not only beautiful to see, but there is also plenty to do. There are scavenger hunts for children and various workshops. So dress warmly and off to Amsterdam!
Walking and cycling fair in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht
From February 14 to 16, walking and cycling enthusiasts can indulge themselves during the Wandel- en Fietsbeurs in the Utrecht Jaarbeurs. This fair will focus on the best walking vacations, cycling trips and everything that comes with it. There is a cycling track where you can test your new bike, find the most useful and modern gadgets in the field of navigation and get inspiration for your next trip.
Help pake & beppe through the vacations!
The spring vacations are just around the corner in February and therefore all museums in Friesland are opening their doors especially for children as part of Help pake & beppe through the vacations! On presentation of an adult, all children have free admission. And that may be pake’s (grandpa’s) and beppe’s (grandma’s), but also parents, aunts, uncles and you name it.
