What to do in March

It’s March already! That means spring is getting closer and closer. There are lots of fun things to do this month. We have made an overview of our favorite events that are coming up. So get inspired and enjoy your month!
Wine Festival Big Market The Hague
On Friday 8 and Saturday 9 March, the Wine Festijn will be held in the Grote Kerk in The Hague. You will find 100 different wines from all over the world under one roof. And you can taste them together with the most delicious delicacies while enjoying pleasant music. The last tickets are on sale! Look for tickets and information on the website.
Opening of the Keukenhof
On March 21, the Keukenhof will open its doors again! This beautiful flower garden can be visited this year through May 12, 2024. Shoot the most beautiful pictures, enjoy the tastiest fragrances and admire all the beautiful colors. Various events such as guided tours, a ride in the whisper boat and various flower shows are organized. For more information and tickets, visit the website.
Food La Route
In March, you can participate in Food La Route at several places in the Netherlands. In this fun culinary concept, you get a 4-course meal, but each course is served at a different restaurant. While walking your whole dinner together! And that with a matching wine with each course. Check the website for participating cities in March.
St. Patrick’s Day
On Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17, the Netherlands turns green for a while because of St. Patrick’s Day! Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day for example in The Hague, as this Irish holiday is always celebrated in a big way there. On both days there is plenty to do in the city so check out the website for the line up of activities.
Home Made Easter Market
From March 29 to April 1, the annual Home Made Easter Market is back on the Lange Voorhout in The Hague. You will find cozy stalls with lots of homemade products, good food, live music and a special 100 year old carousel. The annual market is already 10 years old this year! Entrance is free. The Kitchen Garden Fair
On March 22, 23 and 24, the Vegetable Garden Fair will be held at the Groeneveld Estate in Baarn. This annual event provides novice vegetable gardeners with information and seasoned vegetable gardeners with inspiration. Fun for young and old alike! For tickets and information, visit the website.
