Tapas in Den Bosch

Summer is just around the corner, and that quickly puts us in the mood for tapas! After all, what could be better than relaxing on a sunny patio with friends or family and enjoying delicious bites to share? But even when the weather isn’t so great, there are plenty of charming tapas restaurants throughout the Netherlands where you can immerse yourself in a Mediterranean atmosphere indoors while being treated to delicious Spanish dishes.

So we went out in search of the best tapas restaurants in the Netherlands for you. This time, we’re setting our sights on Den Bosch.

Carras Bites

You’ll find Carras on Karrenstraat in the heart of Den Bosch. At this cozy tapas restaurant, you’ll be pampered with an extensive selection of delicious dishes, ranging from traditional Spanish classics to contemporary creations. How about Spanish pintxos with salmon, brie, Serrano ham, or bruschetta? Then choose from a variety of delicious fish and meat dishes, such as the taco with tuna tartare, three different shrimp dishes, dates with bacon, mini burgers, vitello tonnato, truffle carpaccio, or delicious little chicken dishes? And the best part is that every evening you can choose from all the dishes on the menu as much as you like for one fixed price!

Even more tapas

But Carras isn’t the only tapas restaurant in Den Bosch. The tapas restaurants Barzza, Pintxjo’s, and Bar en Bodega de Unie are also great recommendations. Barzza is a cozy tapas bar on Stoofstraat; Pintxjo’s is a cozy spot for a nice lunch or drinks, located behind City Hall on Ridderstraat; and Bar en Bodega de Unie serves not only delicious tapas but also various Mediterranean dishes such as Puntas de Lomo, Pollo Asado, and Cazuele de Pescado. And as you might expect, Den Bosch is also home to a branch of the tapas chain La Cubanita. You’ll find La Cubanita on Hinthamerstraat, on the outskirts of downtown.

Shared dining in Den Bosch

In addition to Spanish tapas, there are also several restaurants in Den Bosch that offer the shared dining concept. Just like Spanish tapas, these are small dishes meant to be sampled and shared with others. Examples in this city include the street food bar Hello my Friend, Yalla Yalla Foodbar—where you can sample delicious dishes with Middle Eastern flavors—and Créme Coffee and Pastry, which serves its shared dining dishes from Thursday through Sunday in its cozy living-room-style restaurant. The FAM food hall is also highly recommended. At the eight kitchens in this food market, you can enjoy smaller dishes from all corners of the world.
