leuk dagje uit

Are you staying in your own country this summer vacation? Don’t think this is boring! All of the Netherlands is full of great cities and villages, beaches and nature reserves. We regularly go out to discover new places and are happy to share our findings with you. That way you have an overview of places to visit for a fun day out.

Out and about with … in ….

For example, Ester was recently in Heemstede where she found out that this North Holland village is not only known for having the largest playground in Europe, but that Heemstede also has a cozy village character where you can store, immerse yourself in wellness at Blitz and enjoy the outdoors and water.

Sonja was in Breda where during a company outing she explored the city center on a scooter and had a full evening program full of food, show and glamour at De Avenue. A city full of nice shopping streets and squares full of cozy terraces with lots to do.

Sonja also recently went exploring in Lansingerland. A municipality that consists of the villages Bleiswijk, Berkel en Rodenrijs and Bergschenhoek. At first glance these might seem to be rather dull villages, but she found out that it is very pleasant to be here, with nice village centers and even nicer festivals.

Jacqueline took us to Delft and showed us the nicest squares, most beautiful churches, coziest restaurants and artisan stores. Where you can be a real tourist, but also what the best places of the locals are. For example, imagine yourself in France at LEF on the attractive Doelenplein, or eat in a medieval atmosphere at Van der Dussen.

Last winter, Ester got a tour of Groningen from Katia and her family, where she got to know the cozy city center with its students, but also the beautiful greenery that surrounds this provincial capital. This is how she unexpectedly ended up at a real Scandinavian village in beautiful green surroundings, with small Scandinavian houses and a cozy restaurant with delicious Scandinavian dishes on the menu.

Annemieke is a true Veluwe connoisseur who knows exactly where you can best cycle, walk and eat in this beautiful Dutch nature reserve. Ingeborg reveals the best places in the Westland region, including the very special De Bongaard tea garden, and Michelle takes us to her native province of Zeeland.
