The best terraces in Rotterdam

Rotterdam we all know. And we also know that there is plenty to do here. But what are the best places in the city to take it easy on one of the summer terraces? Rotterdam has many new and hip tents. Some of them also give you a fantastic view of the river Maas. But do you know where to find the best terraces in Rotterdam? The ones that give you the cozy and nostalgic feeling that Rotterdam has?

These are our favorite terraces in Rotterdam:

Delfshaven

Delfshaven is one of the oldest parts of Rotterdam and has become increasingly popular in recent years due to its numerous eating and drinking establishments. And because of the sight of cozy bridges and the small harbor it is the perfect place to take a seat on one of the terraces and enjoy the Rotterdam nostalgia. For example, take a seat on the terrace boat of ‘t Oude Bruggetje, along the water at Loes Delfshaven, or just have a drink at Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim with a view of the drawbridge.

Destino

Tapas restaurant Destino on Zaagmolenkade has a spacious terrace on the waterfront of the Rotte River. When the sun shines just a little, sloops, subs and other small boats sail by while you enjoy a drink and delicious tapas. There is even a jetty so if you are boating yourself this is a nice place to moor and enjoy Destino’s Spanish dishes.

Ferry port

Take a seat at restaurant Zenne on the Veerhaven and see the Maas and Erasmus Bridge from a different angle. From this terrace you have a view of the Veerhaven itself, with its sailing ships. And also from this terrace you have a great view on the Maas with on the other side the Wilhelminapier with the cruise terminals and Hotel New York

Hotel New York

Hotel New York is in itself a beautiful location, but from its terrace on the Maas side you also have a fantastic view. Over the Maas with its large cargo ships and pleasure boats, the water cab and water bus. But also over the Rotterdam skyline.
