Enjoying lunch at Hudson Voorschoten
If you drive into Voorschoten you can’t avoid it: Restaurant Hudson. You really have to do your best to overlook this restaurant in the middle of the square. We had already enjoyed a delicious dinner here once, so now it was high time to try the lunch as well!
Restaurant Hudson
The first Hudson Restaurant opened its doors in 2009. Since then, twelve more establishments have opened. Hudson Voorschoten is located on the Schoolstraat. Hudson Restaurant has an American concept, you take a culinary trip through the USA. There are many American food classics on the menu.
The restaurants themselves have an urban and tough look, industrial but comfortable and cozy. The restaurants are designed for long dinners. Even after dinner you can enjoy delicious cocktails, special beers and bar bites. But this is also a great place for lunch!
Inside or outside?
When we were in Voorschoten the other day, the choice to have lunch at Restaurant Hudson was easily made. It was a sunny day, but because there was a lot of wind, we decided to eat lunch inside. That way you are more relaxed and you don’t have to constantly wipe your hair out of your face. Still, many people decided to brave the outdoor terrace that day, which is fine. You sit very centrally and so you have something to look at.
Lunch at Hudson Voorschoten
The lunch menu is quite extensive and it was quite difficult to choose. Ester decided to go for the Thousand Island Chicken Wrap and Sonja chose the Ceasar Salad topped with grilled chicken thigh. Of course, you could also opt for a tasty burger. In the meantime, we had some time to look around the place extensively. When we were here last time for dinner, the place was packed and we were seated on the other side of the restaurant. But it doesn’t really matter where you sit, because it’s nice everywhere.
Friendly service and delicious food
We had noticed it last time, but once again the service was super friendly. We didn’t have to wait long for our food either. And it was delicious, we really enjoyed the lunch. Around us there were also people working on the American High Tea. That also looked very delicious! If we have more time next time we will definitely go for this. So if you are in Voorschoten sometime and you get hungry, definitely go and eat at Hudson Voorschoten. You won’t regret it!
