Escapegame La Casa de Papel – participants’ experiences: Peter and Yf

At the end of August we and some of our readers were invited to Escaperoom TIME in Utrecht for the exciting escapegame La Casa de Papel! Now we at OpstapmetLisa are big fans of this Netflix series which is already on its^5th season and we are well into the story. Some of our guests were not familiar with this series, so they went into the game completely blank.

In this blog series we will let one of the participants tell how they experienced this escape game in which you have to use a combination of a room and a complete VR environment to look for codes and tips to finally crack the safe.

This time you can read the experiences of Peter and Yf.

What were Peter and Yf’s expectations beforehand? Yf: “We had never done an escaperoom before, so we both had no idea what to expect apart from friends’ stories.

What did Peter and Yf think of the game?

“Upon arrival we were welcomed hospitably and were able to sit down with a cup of coffee in the general area to wait for the rest of the group. Of course, the rules surrounding the Coronama measures were gone over with us and then the 8 of us were able to go inside.

After a brief instruction, the escape began. We had to settle in for a while, as we were also completely unfamiliar with the Netflix series of La Casa de Papel, but soon the competition was palpable. We appeared to be nicely matched with our two teammates and kept an eye on our opposing team in the corners of our eyes.

The 2 teams were so fanatical that it was exciting until the last minute. What a cool game this was and we were evenly matched! Peter and I are now also watching the series on Netflix and are right into it. 🥰
