You have those days when you already know in the morning that the kids are energy bombs and you need to go outside. And then you realize that if you want to keep this day somewhat relaxed, it’s best to take them outside. Outdoors and animals are always a good combo so goat farm Ridammerhoeve is the ideal place. So off to the Amsterdamse Bos!

Bottles for the goats

To get to the goat farm, you first have to walk through the forest. Here the kids can run and romp around while you have your hands free. When you arrive at the farm, the first thing your children will want to do is bottle feed the goats. You can get these in the store. Take your time to look around as well. They have delicious goat cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese and much more.

Then you are ready to take the kids to the stables. The nice thing here is that it is very well organized and they can only go in and out on one side. Besides the stables with the goats there is also plenty to play with. Right next to the stables is a nice playground. But also opposite the terrace there are several play equipment so you can keep a close eye on your child while you can enjoy a cup of tea yourself.

Playing in the playground next to the goat farm

Swings can’t be high enough and the seesaw can’t be hard enough, but all that playing makes you hungry and we decide to have lunch after which the kids will play again. The farm is really an ideal place to have fun with the whole family. Precisely because you can play together, but you can also let your children play “alone”. While I go to the store to buy some of the delicious products, my friend joins the kids in the playground.
