As a working mother, I know better than anyone how chaotic and busy life can be. Getting up early, making sandwiches, taking kids to school, working, shopping, cooking, housework. It just doesn’t seem to stop. For many years, the hairdresser was one thing I looked up to like a mountain. Because I didn’t have time to sit in the barber chair for a long time, I had to move on.

Not having time is a choice

Until my hairdresser self confronted me with the fact that the problem is not that I don’t have time, I wasn’t making time because I thought other things were more important. Once I had that realization, I started to see the visit to the hairdresser as a moment for myself. Where I could take a break from the daily race, have a light-hearted chat, read a book with a nice cappuccino on the side, and to top it all off, walk out looking more handsome than I went in.

For me, the hairdresser is my periodic zen getaway like an oasis of calm where time seems to stand still for a moment.
