Party & Co Family – The ideal party game with a group

A party is all about having a good time, and what goes better with that than a good game? Jumbo Play allowed our guest bloggers Annemarie and Pauline to test the Party & Co Family Edition, and they did so enthusiastically. They chose a perfect moment for this; a birthday where the friends and family present couldn’t resist playing along. In this blog they tell how this game show turned out.
An ideal birthday activity
For OpstapmetLisa, we got the chance to test Party & Co Family Edition from Jumbo. A game that promises to be accessible to all ages without being too easy for adults or too difficult for children. We decided to try the game during a birthday – family and friends were kindly but urgently invited to play along – no escape! Fortunately, most of us are real game fans, so the mood was right on the mark.
Party & Co Family offers two play options: a quick 25-minute version or a longer 50-minute version. We opted for the longer version, so we had extensive time to master the game.
How does the game work?
The game works with cards divided into two categories: questions for adults and questions for children. This way, everyone gets challenges at his or her own level. Yet this was not always foolproof – some junior questions turned out to be quite tough! This made for some extra headaches and, above all, lots of laughter.
What makes the game extra fun are the special assignments. After all, it is no fun when your opponent races through the game too quickly and finishes it in no time. For example, there were times when you had to ask a question meowing, with your tongue out and dancing. (All at once, of course.) That was impossible. The result? A room full of people doubled over with laughter.
Additional challenges
The better you played your round, the more challenges you received with the next question.
As a 3rd challenge there were also 3 dice. After a roll you were shown 3 images and you had to imitate those images with 2 people. (Imagine two people standing on one leg while holding a dice between each other’s knees, nose or elbow) 9 times out of 10 it was easy to do, but…. when the challenge tasks were added, it became quite a spectacle to watch. A chaotic, but incredibly funny scene.
Our verdict on Party & Co Family
We enjoyed the game very much. Fun to play with a larger group and works as a good icebreaker. It is easy to learn, quick to set up, and offers enough variety to keep everyone entertained.
We played Party & Co Family with 11 people, divided into three teams of young and old mixed together. Highly recommended for anyone who likes games with a touch of creativity and humor, though some found it a bit out of the box (or out of their comfort zone!) at times. Fortunately, the hilarious moments more than made up for that – and, of course, we still have the photos as proof. Perfect for a party or a fun evening with family and friends.
