Perfect makeup to go with your party outfit
Even though this year we are also celebrating the holidays at home and in a small circle, we want to make it a party. So put on your best clothes, make the house cozy and set the table nicely. And don’t forget your makeup! With the right makeup, you can make yourself shine and complete your party outfit! Last year, make-up artist Martine from Quinto hairdressers gave us tips to complete your looks with a beautiful make-up. And her tips will come in handy this year as well!
Beautiful makeup for the holidays
We work in our salon with the makeup line of John van G. This is a beautiful makeup that is easy to use and also nicely priced. Another great advantage of this makeup line is that you can put together your own eye shadow colors in a refillable magnetic system. This way there is never another color that is not used!
My tips for beautiful party makeup:
- Make sure you have a nice even base with foundation or a mattifying powder. Start with an eyebase. This is a primer that you apply on the eyelids under your eyeshadow, which helps the eyeshadow stay on all day. There is also a makeup base. This can be applied under foundation and is an ideal base for a makeup that you want to stay on all day.
- Apply a nice highlighter all over the eyelid.
- Set the outer corners of the eye a little heavier with the desired eye shadow color.
- Give the inner corner of the eye a highlight with eyeshadow or eyeshadow stylo.
- The eyebrows may also be set a little heavier so that the whole look speaks a little more.
- Apply a nice fresh blush on the cheeks.
- For the lips, I recommend a nice red fresh complexion lipstick.

This year’s John van G. look is more glamorous than ever and you can create it with two completely new products. The Highlighting Powder and the Highlighting Stick!
