We in the Netherlands love all you can eat restaurants. Early on with the Friday buffet from the local Chinese and later wok became a big hit. Meanwhile, there are numerous all you can eat restaurants to be found throughout the Netherlands. With many different concepts and mostly of high quality with original dishes.

What’s so great about all you can eat?

Because, on the one hand, all you can eat restaurants have the reputation of a big food joint, but it is also very nice that there is a lot to choose from, especially if you are with a group or with children. But then, of course, you want to be in an atmospheric restaurant where the food is good quality and tasty. And that’s what we set out to find for this blog!

All you can eat restaurants

Tapas & Mezzes Delft

Tapas and Mezzes has a unique concept. The Spanish feeling is combined with Greek hospitality. On the menu Spanish and Greek snacks are completely mixed. From Spanish serrano ham, fuet, Patatas Bravas and Calamares, to Dolmades, Choriatiki, Souvlaki and Kefalotiri. And many more. You can taste and enjoy all the dishes to the fullest because they have no time limit or maximum number of rounds. You will find Tapas & Mezzes in the historic center of Delft, on one of the beautiful canals. In the summer there is a terrace boat.

Gourmet Market Central Station Tilburg

Gourmet Market Central Station Tilburg is the sister of Down Town Gourmet Market in Eindhoven. Here you can choose from more than 250 different dishes from as many as 15 different cuisines. In addition to regular dishes, there are also vegetarian, vegan and Halal dishes. Something for everyone! You can always walk in. Besides delicious food, you can also enjoy cocktails and other delicious drinks here.

Foodexplore Utrecht

At Foodexplore, not only does the varied menu make you feel like you’re on a world tour, but also the complete setting and entourage of the restaurant. Instead of an extensive buffet area, you walk past all the stalls with their own theme and preparations. You really feel like you are at an Oriental market, but one where you can choose food from all over the world.

Heinde

Heinde is an all you can eat concept with table service. So no buffet you have to walk to, but no traditional menu either. You order two smaller dishes per round per person. There are dishes with meat, with fish and vegetarian dishes. Don’t forget to save a spot for desserts! Heinde has 18 restaurants throughout the Netherlands. There is always one near you.

All you can eat sushi

Besides the various all you can eat concepts that mostly consist of an extensive buffet menu, we in the Netherlands have also known the all you can eat sushi concept for several years. There are several chains throughout the country where you can go crazy for an evening ordering sushi and small hot dishes. I myself am a big sushi fan, but am not equally enthusiastic about every restaurant. Often too much rice is rolled around the sushi, and I’ve even experienced having a lick of mayonnaise sprayed over every sushi. But this doesn’t mean you have to avoid all all you can eat sushi restaurants. I know at least a few that are definitely worth a visit and serve sushi you can lick your fingers at.

For example, in Rijswijk you have Capo by Akihito Sushi in the atmospheric Herenstraat. A compact restaurant where the quality of the sushi is guaranteed. My own favorite here is the crunchy mango roll! And there are several cozy seats. In the front you can cozy up with each other in an alcove, in the middle there is room for larger groups and in the back you sit in the beautiful bright courtyard garden.

All you can eat restaurants

Also in Voorburg you can find a very good all you can eat sushi restaurant: Natsumi. Besides the fact that the sushi on the menu here is really delicious, the entourage of the restaurant is also pleasant and atmospheric. A great restaurant to stay for the whole evening.

But there are also all you can eat sushi restaurants in other places around the country that are very well reviewed. For example, you have Tokyoto sushi & grill in Maastricht and Zaandam. But you can also find a very good sushi restaurant in Groningen: Imono. Owner Victor Wu stands for quality and innovation. He has even been voted the best sushi restaurant in Groningen for 7 years in a row. So I already know where I want to eat during my next visit to Groningen!
