The best restaurants near RAI Amsterdam

Fairs, festivals and events are held throughout the Netherlands. But the largest and most famous event halls in the Netherlands are, of course, De Jaarbeurs in Utrecht and the RAI in Amsterdam.

Fairs such as the Huishoudbeurs, 9 maandenbeurs, Vakantiebeurs and Eigen Huisbeurs are examples of fairs where visitors travel from all over the country. You can wander around the fair floor for hours to find inspiration, make great new purchases or just for a fun day out. And when you have seen everything, you don’t really want to go straight home, but still want to have a bite to eat somewhere. We therefore went looking for the best restaurants in the vicinity of these event locations. In this blog we tell you where you can have a nice meal near RAI Amsterdam!

We made this review based on the atmosphere of the restaurant, the quality of the food and the travel distance from the RAI to the restaurant.

The Roast Room

Located in the RAI complex,The Roast Room consists of a cozy, modern wooden brasserie and a luxurious Rotisserie with table linens and leather chairs. In the brasserie you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner and choose from delicious street food dishes. In the Rotisserie you can dine and choose from fine-dining dishes.

Lobster bar

The Lobster Bar can be found right across from the RAI. Here they serve both lunch and dinner and you can choose from various lobster, sushi and wok dishes. So start your dinner with a delicious lobster roll, then enjoy a delectable lobster soup and for your main course choose from half a lobster, which you can have prepared in different ways.

Nanbu

If you are a real sushi fan, then you should definitely join Nanbu. Here they serve beautiful and delicious sushi, sashimi and sushi specials. You cannot have lunch here, but from 17:30 you are welcome to come and enjoy all their goodies after your visit to the fair.

Visaandeschelde

Do you like to go for a tasty fish? From Europaplein you walk straight onto Scheldeplein and you’ll find fish restaurant Visaandeschelde. The menu changes seasonally, but you’ll enjoy their fresh Fruits de Mer, lobster dishes and fresh oysters all year round.

GOOS

Do you want to enjoy an easy-going afterlife after your visit to the fair? Then sit back and relax at Café GOOS. Here you can order a delicious sandwich for lunch and choose from a delicious burger, satay, salad or the dish of the day for dinner. And if you’re smart, park your car here as well, because you only pay a penny an hour for parking in front of GOOS!
