The best Netflix series right now

In our blogs we often give you movie and series tips, but now we put all our favorites for you in 1 blog. So that you don’t have to be bored in the coming time, even when the nice weather leaves us.

Exciting series

Since last Sunday the very last season of Homeland has been broadcast on NPO3. This is already season 8 of the exciting series about secret agent Carrie. We had to wait a long time for it! Have you seen the series yet? It is really worth watching! The previous 7 seasons are on Netflix!

Also, The Blacklist is super exciting. Once you get into it, you don’t really want to stop watching. The series was previously shown on SBS6, now you can watch 6 seasons in a row on Netflix. But this series can also be seen on Videoland where you can even watch season 7 since March. In this series, the FBI enlists the help of America’s most wanted criminal.

Another top series is the Spanish series Casa de Papel. Since this month, season 4 has been on Netflix. In this exciting series, 8 bank robbers, led by El Professor, lock themselves up in the Royal Mint. They always outwit the police because they also dress the hostages as themselves. Super exciting and very original!

The series Ozark also recently has a third season on Netflix. In this series, a financial advisor moves to the Ozarks to launder $500 million for a drug boss within 5 years. Very exciting because things always turn out differently than planned.

A little different from the usual is the Polish series Rojst. You can see this series set in the 1980s on Netflix since last month. When a prostitute and a youth leader are found murdered in a Polish town, two journalists find the way the police are handling the case strange. They set out to investigate, with dire consequences.

In Vis a Vis, a woman tries to survive in the harsh world of prison. This Spanish counterpart to Orange is the new Black is also definitely worth watching. A fun fact for Casa de Papel fans: you will meet two acquaintances in this series, Naïrobi and Inspectora Alicia. You can watch this series on Netflix.

Children’s series

The Letter for the King is the English translation of our own “letter for the king.” Tonke Dragt’s book has finally been filmed and in a six-part series on Netflix! The series is not Dutch spoken but it is Dutch subtitled. Therefore, it is better to watch with older children. It is also quite an exciting series.

Another fun series for the whole family is Bossbaby, back in business. This series on Netflix is based on a previously released motion picture. Very funny, especially since the baby in the series is actually a very smart businessman.

In No Good Nick, a girl turns a family’s life upside down after she claims to be distant relatives of theirs, but she turns out to be a young master con artist. A fun series suitable for children ages 6 and up on Netflix.

Young horse girls can totally indulge in the series The Pony Sitters Club. In it, a young animal lover works with her friend to rescue and care for animals. This series can also be seen on Netflix.

Does your son or daughter like a little suspense? Then Creeped Out is definitely recommended. In this series, “The Curious One” searches for a new, exciting story every broadcast. Sometimes a bit exciting, so really only for cool kids.

Pub series

Older kids also have a lot to watch. Like the series Dare Me, available on Netflix. In this series about an American high school, a new, cold-hearted coach takes over the school’s cheerleading squad, and that sets relations on edge.

The Spanish series Élite, although for children over 16, is well worth watching. When three kids from simple backgrounds end up at an exclusive private school, it leads to a confrontation between poor and rich students. Eventually this even leads to murder…

Greenhouse Academy is also a fun teen school series. It is about brother and sister Alex and Hayley who end up at a posh boarding school after the death of their mother.

Does your teenage daughter love to sing? Then Victorius on Netflix is really for her. The little sister may also watch along because this series is suitable for all ages!
