They even have a real chocolate factory in Hillegom where you can take a look inside while enjoying a nice cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate with whipped cream! But did you know that they also like to share with you the most delicious recipes with chocolate? With these you can make the most delicious creations with chocolate at home!

Brownies with pecans

Brownies are here to stay! Chocolate fanatics go absolutely wild for the soft filling and hard crust. You can also very easily make them yourself at home!

What do you need?

  • 360 grams of brownie mix
  • 40 grams of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 75 grams of water
  • 100 grams pecans
  • 100 grams caramel callets
  • 50 grams whipped cream without sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • Springform 20 cm

How to make it

– Preheat the oven to 160 degrees and line the tin with baking paper
– Mix all the ingredients together, except the pecans. Mix in a mixer for 3 minutes
– Finally, spoon the pecans into the mixture
– Spoon this into the mold and bake in the oven for 45-55 minutes. Let it cool down afterwards
– Boil the cream and pour over the callets, stir well until smooth. Add salt to taste
– Slowly pour the mixture over the brownie and spread well. Finish the brownie with some pecans and coarse sea salt

You may know these cakes from the past and now you can make them at home thanks to this recipe! Chocolaterie Pierre also adds a modern twist to this recipe.

What you need

  • cake tin 26 cm
  • 200 grams white caster sugar
  • 200 grams unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 250 grams self-rising baking flour
  • 25 grams cocoa powder
  • 50 grams crispy pearls caramel
  • 4 eggs

How to proceed

– Preheat the oven to 160 degrees
– Make sure the butter is at room temperature. Beat the sugar and butter until fluffy
– Add the vanilla extract to the mixture, mix in briefly
– Then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each added egg
– Add the self-rising baking flour to the mixture and mix well
– Divide the mixture into two separate bowls
– Add the cocoa powder to one of the bowls and stir well
– Grease the cake pan and first spoon the mixture without the chocolate into the pan. Put 25 grams of crispy pearls on top and as a second spoon the mixture with cocoa powder on top of this
– sprinkle another 25 grams of crispy pearls on top of the cake

Marshmellow bars

Kids love them, but we’re sure you can’t resist them either.

What you need

  • 70 grams of butter
  • 150 grams of peanut butter
  • 150 grams of milk callets (chocolate drops, available at Chocolaterie Pierre and others)
  • 60 grams of dark callets (chocolate drops, available at Chocolaterie Pierre)
  • 150 grams of mini marshmallows
  • 15×15 shape

How to make it

– Melt the butter and peanut butter together in a pan
– Pour the melted butter and peanut butter over the callets, stirring well to make a smooth mixture
– Let cool briefly and add the marshmallows. Stir well
– Line the bottom of the mold with baking paper and pour the mixture into the mold
– Place in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, cut into cubes or strips after cooling

Tip: Store in the refrigerator, that’s when they taste best!
