The Westland coast, your coast!

When the weather is nice, you may not immediately think of the Westland when you think of a beach day. Time to change that! Because did you know that Westland has 8 kilometers of beach? This beach is divided into 8 different beaches, each with its own beach entrance. Visit Westland’s slogan this summer is not for nothing: the Westland coast, your coast!

The Westland Coast

Each Westland beach entrance has its own qualities. Strandopgang Beukel in ‘s-Gravenzande for example is a fantastic place for everyone who wants to be active and sporty. Wato Events provides all kinds of fun and sportive activities, such as blokarting, wingboarding, powerkiting and XXL supping. And through Manege Noordland you can enjoy horseback riding on the beach. Strandopgang Arendsduin in ‘s-Gravenzande is an entrance without beach tents, but it is a lovely place for a picnic. The dog can just come along. The dune landscape is beautiful to discover by bicycle.

Beach entrance Vluchtenburg, ‘s-Gravenzande

Staying overnight on the Westland coast? This is possible at Strandpark Vlugtenburg and Sahara Stay at beach entrance Vlugtenburg. At this beach entrance you can get sporty at the Dutch Surf Academy. Not so sporty but want to enjoy the sun, sea and beach? Then visit Elements Beach!

Beach entrance Karel Doormanweg, Ter Heijde

Also in Ter Heijde you can be active! At Dreams Surfschool you can surf, kitesurf and wavesurf under supervision. You can rent your board and wetsuit. Would you rather take it easy and enjoy some good food and drinks? Then Makani Beach is your new favorite beach club. With a view of the surfers, your beach day can’t go wrong and the food is delicious.

Beach entrance Strandweg, Ter Heijde

Looking for a quiet beach that is easily accessible for the disabled? Then Strandopgang Strandweg in Ter Heijde is the place. Here you can completely unwind at the beach bars Moments Beach and Bugaloe Beach. Parking at this quiet beach is free, but the number of parking spaces is limited. It is better to get there by bike or on foot.

Beach entrance Molenpad, Monster

Strandopgang Molenpad is a lovely place to hang out. From here you have a view on the Sand Motor. You can easily reach it on foot from here. On Slag Molenpad you will find two lovely beach bars: The Coast beach house and Bondi Beachclub. At the latter we were invited to come and enjoy a delicious fully catered dinner. This beach club has products on the menu that would not be out of place in a good restaurant. They only use quality products and you can taste that. Bondi Beachclub is really a must after a relaxing day at the beach or the perfect end to your working day.

Beach storage Shell Path

Strandopgang Schelpenpad is located in the middle of nature reserve Solleveld. In this hidden and quiet area you can enjoy hiking and biking. There are no facilities: no beach bars and no toilet buildings. Dogs are allowed all year round. Keep in mind that you have to pay an entrance fee to dune area Solleveld. This is because it is a vulnerable area.

Beach entrance Watertoren

Also located in dune area Solleveld is beach entrance Watertoren. This beach entrance can only be reached on foot and by bike. Here you have an amazing view of the Sand Motor. Because of the shallow water, this is a popular spot for kite surfers.
