Weekend in a mobile home in the Netherlands: fun activities!

Are you planning to go camping? There are a variety of places to stay. Think of a tent, a chalet, a caravan with awning or a mobile home. Of course, it is wonderful to still have the luxury of a cottage while you are just at the campsite. That is why it is a nice idea to rent a mobile home. Here are some activities you can do during your stay.

At the campsite

At the campsite, which will be like a second home for you, you are going to spend a lot of time. You can do all kinds of fun things there, such as collecting wood to make a fire (if that’s allowed at that place), prepare good food and also play games like volleyball and horseshoe pitching.

On the water

If you’re lucky and camp near water, it’s a perfect opportunity to do fun things on the water. Go fishing, boating (such as kayaking, paddle boats or canoeing), swimming, water skiing and even gliding across the water on an inflatable tire (tubing). Sometimes knots can get in your fishing line when you’re fishing, but that’s part of the game and makes fishing fun.

On land

But exploring the campground on foot is also great fun. You meet new people and discover many fun things around you. Think of hiking on special trails, cycling, looking for different plants, birds and animals, cave exploration (caving), taking pictures of nature, searching for treasures with GPS (geocaching), organizing a quest, playing in the playground and flying kites. Very fun of course if you have children.

Sports activities

While camping, it is smart to stay active during the day, as this will ensure that you sleep well at night. Some campsites have sports equipment that you are allowed to use, but if not, you can bring your own. Then you can play volleyball, horseshoe pitching, badminton, cycling, soccer, Frisbee or boomerang throwing, dodgeball, rock climbing, basketball and old-fashioned games such as hide-and-seek, tug-of-war, sack races, relay races and tag. This not only makes your camping experience more fun, but also keeps you active and full of energy.
