What to do in July

It is July and thus high time for a new monthly calendar. For everyone staying in the Netherlands, we have great tips. No one has to be bored this month!
Historic cheese market in Edam
On July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, you are welcome to attend the Historic Cheese Market in cozy Edam! The Edam Cheese Market is held every Wednesday morning 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in July and August. You will find the cheese market in the market square in the historic center of the town. Admission is free and you can also taste delicious (and free!) cheese everywhere! Traditionally, the bell rings at the beginning and end of the market. Really fun to experience once!
Knapsack Festival Delft
On July 6 and 7, Delft will host the Knapsack Festival. During this cozy festival, street acts will be performed at various places in the city and special canal hoppers will sail through the canals. In total, about 40 acts will be performed and it is enjoyable for young and old! Keep a close eye on the program so you know exactly when to be where.
Japanese Market
On July 6, lovers of Japanese cuisine can indulge during the Japanese Market in Houten’s Expo. Between 12:30 and 18:00 you can enjoy Japanese street food, a Japanese Market, karaoke, shows, music and much more!
Summer Fairytale Weeks at Julianatoren
At Julianatoren, the largest playground in the Netherlands, there is always a party! But in summer even more so, because then there are the Summer Fairy Tale Weeks. The entire summer vacation, from July 13 to September 1, children can enjoy extra fun with park shows, theater shows and fairy tales. So come to Apeldoorn this summer!
90’s on the Beach
On July 12, our generation can go wild during 90’s on the Beach! The festival takes place on the Cattenbroekerplas in Woerden and between 17:00 and 01:00 you can swing to the sounds of K-Otic, 2 Unlimited, Mental Theo and many more great acts and artists from the 90’s and 00’s.
On expedition at Pantropica
During the summer vacations, between July 6 and September 1, adventurous children can go on an expedition in the jungle of Pantropica (formerly the Orchid Farm). You don’t have to leave the country at all and it’s always summer! Will you also join the expedition this summer vacation?
Horse Days
The Voorschoten Horse Days are truly a household name and will take place this year on July 26, 27 and 28. Besides the traditional horse market, there are also competitions such as the Dutch Short Course Racing Championships. But there are also fun games like ring stabbing and lots to do for the kids, like a pony ride.
