Wat te doen in september

Schools have started again, most of us have finished the vacations: in short, it’s September! September feels like a clean slate, just like the new year. But one with good weather and fun activities! We have collected some of them and put them in this blog.

World Port Days

From September 6 to 8, World Port Days will take place on the quays around the Erasmus Bridge! During these days various activities take place on the quays, there are spectacular shows on the water and you can do special excursions. On Saturday evening there is a spectacular show with fireworks. Admission to the World Port Days is free. There is an entrance fee for the excursions. It is wise to book them in advance.

Escaperoute in the Old and New Church of Delft

The Old and New Churches in Delft have a great and exciting activity: an exciting escaperoute! While puzzling you will learn all kinds of things about both churches. The Secret of the Iconoclasm takes 60 to 75 minutes and while you follow clues and solve mysteries, you will learn all about the history of these iconic buildings in Delft. So reserve your time slot today! You can play this exciting game almost every day in September.

Prinsjesnach in The Hague

After last year’s success, this year there will also be a Prinsjesnach in The Hague! This year this cozy event falls on September 16. And yes, that is on a Monday because that is the night before Prinsjesdag. What can you expect? A musical pub crawl along the cosiest bars and pubs of the Hofstad. Of course, there is no lack of fun music from local bands and artists. You can find the program, locations and route here. Photo: Eric van Nieuwland.

The Mystery of the White Wolves

Horrorlife Productions is organizing a fun and exciting family event especially for children between 6 and 12 years old on September 21 and 22. The event will take place at Buitenplaats Tof in Zwolle and is suitable for all ages. Besides the ghost tour in, among other things, a creepy corn field, there is also a craft table and participants can get their face painted. Really a fun family outing in other words!

Home Made Market in The Hague

On September 21 and 22, there is Home Made Market in The Hague again! At the Home Made Market you will find stalls full of handmade goods, art and antiques. And the inner man will be taken care of by the various food trucks on the grounds. The location for the Home Made Market is the Lange Voorhout, so the place is beautiful too!

The Vecht Parade

On Sept. 14, it’s like stepping into a fairy tale book. From the Mijndense Sluis in the direction of Maarssen-Dorp, various decorated boats will sail with pleasant live music during the Vecht Sailing Parade. And because it will be dark a little earlier, everything is nicely decorated. Also along the shore! This year’s theme is “Fairy Tales” and the boats sail between 20:00 and 23:00. On the website you can find the route of the boats and more information about the program.

Pop-up Picnic in the Hague

Lots of fun in The Hague and surroundings this month. Until September 29 you can for example enjoy a pop-up picnic in a park of your choice in The Hague, for example in the Westbroekpark. Book your picnic through Party Century, specify when and where you want to picnic and they will take care of the rest. The fully catered picnic also includes a rug, cushions, crockery, glasses, cutlery and napkins on loan! So you don’t have to bring anything with you!
