6 tips for extraordinary camping

We Dutch love camping. But even if you are not, the tips in this blog will surely change your mind. After all, we have found some very special camping spots for you!

Domicile in Drenthe

Ever slept in a dome? It is possible in Drenthe at Camping Buitenland! They have decorated a corner of the campsite as a cozy Domecilla. There are 5 domes where 6 people can stay. The domes are equipped with all modern conveniences and luxury. They are built on the edge of the forest and stand around a large fire pit. Cooking can be done in the common kitchen. Scattered picnic tables where you can eat outside. You can rent a dome with your family, but you can also rent the entire Domecilia with the whole family (up to 30 people)! A yurt is a round Mongolian tent, but you don’t have to travel far for this! You can also find them in the Dunes of Texel National Park! Texel Yurts has put up 10 authentic ones here. You live almost exclusively outside: cooking, eating, chilling in a hammock or enjoying the surroundings. Ideal for families with children! There are Yurts for 2, 4 and 6 persons and there is even a romantic Bridal Yurt. What more could a person want? The Yurts are part of dune camping Loodsmanduin and you can use all their facilities. Retro camping at the indoor campsite

Close to Amsterdam you will find a place where you can go back in time. To 1965 to be exact! There you will find 4 retro caravans where a total of 8 people can stay. Perfect for a friends weekend! Everything is covered and fully equipped. So you don’t have to go to a sanitary block with your toilet roll under your arm and each caravan has its own bathroom. Special Scandinavian camping

In the Achterhoek you will find Oetdoor, a special camping spot with a Scandinavian touch. Camping “Bij Ons” in Groesbeek is also called the nicest camping in the Netherlands. Sisters Natasja and Rita converted the somewhat neglected camping spot into something cozy! No accommodation is the same! For example, you can choose a tiny house, a boat (on dry land) or even an SRV shopping cart to sleep in! All accommodations are fully equipped and everything is very spacious. in the evening you can choose to enjoy the company of the other campers. Nice and special camping!
