Delicious high tea at Leonidas Delft

A high tea is always fun, especially in good company. When a friend of mine suggested we go to Leonidas in Delft, we were all in favor.

Cozy Delft

Delft is a real student city, but you can also do great shopping there. I especially love the old part. I love soaking up the atmosphere of history and watching the tourists taking picture after picture on the square. The new part is also nice with all the bigger stores and the cinema, but I have a weakness for the old part. Here in the old part is located, in Choorstraat, Leonidas. That’s where I met up with my girlfriends.

Beautiful day

Since the weather is beautiful today, we take a seat in Leonidas‘ cozy courtyard garden. Here you don’t notice at all that you are in a bustling city, but you come to a complete relaxation. Leonidas’ High Tea is very well known and therefore it is very busy. There is also a baby shower going on. But Leonidas is also the place to be for a nice lunch. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

High Tea

The high tea is luxurious! We get a plate of savory appetizers from the waitress, including some hot snacks and even a cute little soup. Next to it, the etagere is placed with the plates of sweets. Fortunately, there’s a real Leonidas bonbon there, too. The waitress explained exactly what everything was. In addition, there was unlimited tea, coffee and even cappuccino!

Everything is equally delicious

Normally I don’t eat that much so I make a choice in what I like and what I don’t mind leaving out. Now I really can’t make a choice in that, so everything goes. Afterwards I really feel like I could roll home. So I step on briskly, back to the station. Soon I will write a piece about my city walk, so keep an eye on the site!
