Uit eten met Valentijnsdag

On February 14, we celebrate Valentine’s Day again. Some find it commercial nonsense, others seize the day with both hands to put their partner in the spotlight. Whether you participate in Valentine’s Day or not, it is always nice to go out to dinner with your sweetheart at a romantic restaurant.

Dinner with your sweetheart is always a good idea, not just on Valentine’s Day. We have found a few restaurants that are sure to score points with your sweetheart.

Fouquet (The Hague)

Do you really want a great atmosphere on Valentine’s Day? Then book a table for two at Fouquet in The Hague. After all, dining out here is always romantic. The entire interior exudes romantic ambiance which is completed by the beautiful dishes that Chef de Cuisine Sebastiaan and his team conjure up from the kitchen.

Ask for a matching wine pairing and your evening is complete! Book here

Les Copains (Delft)

Oysters are said to stimulate lust. So they really can’t be missing during Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart! Would you like to surprise your Valentine with a delicious menu full of scrumptious seafood in a beautiful atmospheric restaurant? Then take a seat at Les Copains in Delft. Because here it’s all about atmosphere, coziness, good food and fish!

And owners Debbie and Eric, like to celebrate love with you. Therefore, around Valentine’s Day you can enjoy a delicious five-course dinner for the price of four courses (€ 46, -) with a sparkling aperitif! <<> Book here

Restaurant Elea (Rijswijk)

Greece and love go hand in hand. Not for nothing did the ancient Greeks have a whole list of gods and goddesses related to love (Eros), desire (Aphrodite) and marriage (Hera). But the Greeks also knew Dionysos, the god of grapes, wine and parties. And at Restaurant Elea in Rijswijk this all comes together! Chef Takis and hostess Bibi will do everything to make the restaurant completely dedicated to love around Valentine’s Day. Red roses, hearts and aphrodisiac ingredients will not be missing during the 6-course menu they offer. Book here

The Red Sun (Blaricum)

Do you live in the ‘t Gooi area and want to really spoil your sweetheart? Then go enjoy together at The Red Sun in Blaricum. As far as I am concerned, this really is the sushi mecca of the Netherlands. The atmosphere is beautifully Oriental and romantic and the food is really great! And if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of one of the many celebrities who also like to eat here. Book here

Restaurant 55 (Maastricht)

The most romantic city in the Netherlands is Maastricht. With its beautiful bridges, facades, squares and cobblestones on the streets. There are many places in Maastricht where you can have a delicious and romantic dinner. One of my own good old favorites was t’ Hegske. In the meantime, this restaurant has been taken over and renamed Restaurant 55. Here you can still find the romantic table linen and taste the classic French style on your plate, but complemented with modern techniques and fresh flavors. Book here

Wine bar & Zo (Alphen aan den Rijn)

Are you looking for a romantic place, but different from a restaurant? Then visit Wijnbar & Zo in Alphen aan den Rijn. Pull up close to each other while enjoying a delicious glass of bubbles to celebrate your love or one of the many beautiful wines they have ready for you. Order a cocktail plate to go with it and enjoy the evening with delicious snacks and drinks and of course each other!
