Enjoying Italy at Castle de Haar
At OpstapmetLisa, we are rather burgundy-minded, so when we got the opportunity to go to the Italy Event May 24, 25 and 26 at Castle de Haar, we didn’t have to think long!
Castle de Haar
What a beautiful location was chosen to hold this event! Kasteel de Haar is a beautifully maintained castle in Haarzuilens, near Utrecht. Earlier we already visited the castle, which is also highly recommended. Especially with kids, because they organize fun scavenger hunts and other fun events there. So this time a fun event for foodies and epicureans! On May 24 it was also a beautiful day so it was definitely not a punishment to spend the working day here!
Taste Italy
Italy is known for much more than pizza and pasta. So there were many stands with dried sausage, delicious cheeses, olive oil, olives, wines and lime cello. And the great thing was, you got to taste everything! Now unfortunately it was still quite early in the morning so we didn’t really go extensively on the wine, but that didn’t make it any less fun. We went home with a lot of delicious things.
Beautiful cars
Now we recently got to spend a weekend driving around in a special rose gold She’s Mercedes. At this event there were also a lot of special cars that we would love to borrow! Wow, really great! So we were drooling at the Lambourginis and Ferraris, but also the cute Fiat 500s and vintage cars were all equally beautiful.
Live music
The Italy Event was complete with tasty Italian music. There were several tents from which atmospheric Italian music sounded. And there were even serenades among the crowd. That was great fun to see. We really felt like we were abroad for a moment.
Also fun for kids
Children were also thought of during the Italy Event. For example, there was a huge bouncy castle and there were those balls in the water that allow you to walk on water. Although children are not always fans of olives, cheese and dry sausages, there was plenty for them to taste as well. There was a whole stand full of sweet treats like Cannoli (rolls with cream in them) and very large donuts.
Lots of choice for a tasty lunch
There was also more than enough choice for lunch. We chose a quick sandwich, but you could also enjoy delicious meat dishes and of course pizza. Our sandwiches were also delicious and you could really taste that everything was super fresh. Next year we will definitely be there again. Will we see you there as well?
