Happy reading in February

The end of 2022 and the beginning of this year saw the release of many great new books. And since February is really one of those months to crawl under a blanket with a good book, we are happy to share them with you. So we’re going to enjoy reading in February!
Feelgood books
Feelgood books are always a nice read, especially when the weather is gloomy. The literature is usually not highbrow, but that doesn’t worry anyone.
The small street with the big heart by Manuela Inula
This book is the sixth and final installment of the Valerie Lane series. The book was released in January 2023. Personally, I really enjoyed this series. Not too difficult, nice and cozy, romantic and it reads like a train. Read more about the book here.
An Island Wedding by Jenny Colgan
Did you also enjoy the Cafe Sun and Sea series by Jenny Colgan? Another new volume was released in February, An Island Wedding. This is already the fifth volume in the series. Sweet dreams on the Scottish island of Mure.
Exciting thrillers
Lose yourself in an exciting thriller, how wonderful is that? And completely safe in your own home. What more could you want?
November by Thomas Olde Heuvelt
November by our own master-of-thrilling-stories Thomas Olde Heuvelt came out in November 2022. Personally, I couldn’t wait! I think I had reserved it back in July. I am a big fan of Thomas and this book, with this beautiful cover, could not be missing from my bookshelf.
The book of the gallows by Thomas Enger
Oh wonderful, a Scandi thriller! Secretly the best thrillers (both books and series) do come from our Norwegian neighbors. This book is another must-have for the real cold-blooded lover of Scandinavian thrillers. Have fun reading it.
Fairy Tale by Stephen King
Those who think of Stephen King may quickly think of horror stories. But that is not the case with Fairy Tale, his book released in honor of his 75th birthday. So what is it? Basically a fairy tale in a novel with a mysterious edge. You actually have to read it to understand it, but a special book it certainly is!
(Auto)biographies
Not all biographies are fascinating to read, but a few have come out recently that might be worthwhile.
Reserve of Harry Duke of Sussex
I don’t normally read autobiographies, but this one I’m secretly curious about. In Reserve, (former Prince) Harry opens up about his life in the British royal family. I don’t know if the British royal family will be so happy with this book.
Surrender by Bono
U2 frontman Bono himself wrote a book about his own life with Surrender. Before that, his life was described a few times by others, but so this time by himself. For me, U2 ranks with Queen, Michael Jackson, Pince and George Michael. I am very curious about this book!
