The best climbing parks in the Netherlands

Do you like to challenge yourself and your family? Then visit a climbing park this summer! Get active outdoors, push your own limits and then return home proud and fulfilled. It doesn’t get any more fun than that! We have listed the best climbing parks in the Netherlands for you.
Climbing park Het Klimeiland near Leidschendam
Klimeiland has 7 different routes spread over 4 different heights. During these routes you will encounter 50 different climbing obstacles and no less than 10 cable cars. You can start at 1 or 4 meters and finish at 7 or 11 meters! The minimum height for climbing is 1.40 m.
Climbing park Adventure Valley in Landgraaf
One of the largest climbing parks in the Netherlands can be found at SnowWorld in Landgraaf. With 25,000 km2 of climbing fun, 1,000 m of ziplines and a cool alpine coaster, you’ll be busy for a while. There are two climbing courses (one at 8 meters and one at 12 meters) for every level. Not into climbing yourself? Then you can go for a nice walk along the climbing park.
Climbing park Adventure City in Rotterdam
Adventure City in Rotterdam has everything you need for a spectacular day out! Besides many challenging climbing courses both indoor and outdoor, the park has several zipline trails, free falls and much more. Children as young as 4 years old can participate! And is it raining? No problem! Because Adventure City also has a huge indoor area where you can climb, talk and zipline to your heart’s content. The park is open all year round.
Climbing park Fun Forest in Rotterdam
With climbing parks in Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Almere and Venlo, Fun Forest is well represented in the Netherlands. And rightly so! Because this is really a fun climbing experience for young and old. Fun Forest Rotterdam is located in the Kralingse Bos and there are no less than 8 different routes. The routes are at different levels and real daredevils can even try a bungee jump! Children from 1.10 m can come and climb! For them, the special Monkey Trail is suitable.
Climbing forest Gooi-Eemland
You can also enjoy climbing in Lage Vuursche, on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. At Klimbos G ooi-Eemland you can climb as many as 10 routes from 2 to 22.5 meters high! Of course you can’t skip the zip line. For children from 7 years and 1.30 m high there is a special Junior Forest. This is unique in the Netherlands. In the Junior Forest are 4 different climbing routes and a fun zip line. Please note that in winter this climbing park is closed.
Klimdaris on Terschelling
Klimdaris on Terschelling is already a party for everyone from 4 years old. Parents may accompany and encourage their children from the ground and do not have to buy a ticket themselves. But even if you want to climb by yourself, there is plenty of challenge! You can even climb in the dark with a light on your head! Klimdaris is inspired by the world-famous Brandaris lighthouse found on this island and from the treetops you can see the lighthouse!
Climbing park Biesbosch
Klimpark Biesbosch is also so much fun. There are several challenging routes for everyone including a spectacular zipline at 12 meters height of up to 400 meters long! Even children smaller than 1.25 m can already practice for the real thing later. Reservations must be made in advance for this park as well.
Climbing park Groningen
In Groningen you will find a climbing park with three different courses, one green, one blue and one red. The red one is the most challenging and even sits at a height of 8 meters! You can zipline from one course to another. Children from 1.20 m can come and climb but keep in mind that children between 1.20 m and 1.40 m are only allowed to climb when accompanied by an adult. Also at Klimpark Groningen you have to book in advance.
Klimrijk Brabant
In Brabant, near Veldhoven, you can also enjoy climbing at Klimrijk Brabant. This ecological climbing forest is really one with nature and you can enjoy climbing and clambering. The climbing forest has only been there since 2018 so it is still brand new. There are different levels for young and old. In fact, you can come climbing as young as 4 years old! The Pico course is made especially for children who are not yet 1.30 m tall!
