How did Desirée experience the Prison Escape?

Some time ago we were locked in Breda’ s Koepelgevangenis to participate in the Real Life Gaming Prison Escape. This was quite an experience! In this series, everyone who was with us gets to speak so you know how we experienced it. This time it is Desirée aka Happy Face’s turn!

What did you expect from the Prison Escape?

I was expecting a lot of excitement and thrills from the Prison Escape. It shouldn’t be too easy. Also important is how the actors play. That makes the feeling even more intense!

Have you prepared yourself?

I did ask around to people who have participated before, but I quickly found out that it’s different every time. The actors are completely free to do that. That makes it very cool, but also very difficult!

Were you nervous?

I did stand anxiously waiting for my confinement. I handed in my things, put on my coveralls and walked into the courtyard. I kept a low profile for the most part, because things were heating up! This is where the great adventure of escaping began. I tried to pay very close attention and listen and soon I had come up with a strategy.

What was your strategy then?

I tried to befriend one of the main characters. And I hung out the exemplary prisoner, haha.

So, how did you like it?

WOW!!! What an unforgettable day I had! Full of excitement and thrills. Everything was right. The actors acted well and therefore it felt very real. I was really in the story! I would like to tell more about how and what, but then the excitement would be gone. You really have to experience this for yourself and try to know your way out. You create your own storyline. I unfortunately did not manage to escape. Maybe you will, because … follow the game.
