How did Ester experience the Prison Escape?

Some time ago we were locked in Breda’s Koepelgevangenis to participate in the Real Life Gamings Prison Escape. This was quite an experience! In this series, everyone who was with us will have their say so you know how we experienced it.

Ester, have you participated before?

No, this was my very first escape experience and that brings me straight to the Queen of escape experiences!

Did you prepare for the Prison Escape?

I really didn’t know beforehand what to expect. We did receive an email beforehand telling us what we were and were not allowed to do, along with a liability letter, so I had become very curious!

What did you find particularly impressive?

The fact that the actors were so absorbed in their roles! Especially in the beginning I knew that this was no place for jokes and banter. And the fact that I was mainly on my own because everyone was assigned to a different cell.

How did you play the game?

I mostly kept my ears and eyes open and watched what everyone else was doing. At one point I had resigned myself to just biding my time, but suddenly there was an opportunity for escape and I grabbed it with both hands. Once outside, I was euphoric! What a great feeling and what a fantastic experience! Especially how all the storylines came together at the end. Very cleverly done!

Would you like to be locked up again?

Yes definitely! I want to again! Especially since you can end up in a different storyline every time, it is different every time. I really enjoyed this great adventure and I would recommend it to everyone!
