Leuke terrassen in Nederland

The terraces are open again! Unfortunately, the Dutch weather is not quite cooperating yet, but we have already shown in the first days that we are determined to enjoy the hospitality of the Dutch hospitality industry. And the weather forecasts for the coming period look good! But what are some nice terraces to settle down on right now? We figured it out for you!

Cozy on the terrace in Maastricht

Of course, the most famous square in Maastricht is the Vrijthof. But anyone who has ever been to Maastricht knows that the nicest square is Onze Lieve Vrouwenplein, with very nice terraces. Enclosed between beautiful buildings, decorated with beautiful trees and atmospheric terraces. Here you can sit under the large umbrellas on the terrace of Eetcafé Van Buren, Bistro De Comedie or restaurant De Lanteern. You sit surrounded by beautiful facades and the umbrellas will even protect you from a splash of rain.

Enjoying nature on the terrace in the Weerribben, Overijssel

In Overijssel, enjoy hospitality, terrace and nature at Restaurants Weerribben Wieden. These are several restaurants in Paasloo and Giethoorn, all located on the edge of National Park Weerribben-Wieden. Restaurant ‘t Binnenhof in Paasloo has reopened its large terrace since April 28. So from now on you can visit them again for Lunch, coffee, drinks and high services. And when all is allowed again, in addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner, there are plenty of fun farm and outdoor activities to do such as Aquabubble, Arrow Battle and Archery, as well as escaperoom games and covered wagon rides.

Terraces and boating in the Westland

At De Bonte Haas in Westland Wateringen you can also have a great time, at the moment outside, but soon of course inside again! You can even rent a sloop! But also on the mainland you can have lunch, and soon also dinner and drinks. De Bonte Haas is a great base for cyclists, hikers and people with boats. A household name in the Westland for years! But Lakehouse de Wollebrand in Honselersdijk is also a fine location to sit on the terrace. An attractive terrace with a delicious menu and a view of the tough people who dare to venture onto the water-ski track.

By boat to the terrace at Paterswoldsemeer in Groningen

On the border of Groningen and Drenthe you will find the Paterswoldsemeer, which is very popular with water sports enthusiasts and day recreationists on and around the water. Around the lake you can find several restaurants with terraces that have a beautiful view of the lake and you can enjoy life on the water. If you have your own boat, you can simply moor at most of the terraces and dive right from your boat onto the terrace! For example, on the lake, towards the Hoornseplas, you will find restaurant Kaap Hoorn. A cozy place with a lovely summer vibe, very popular with atmosphere seekers and drinkers. And not directly on the water, but definitely worth a visit is Restaurant the Elanderhus in the Scandinavian Village. Not only the atmosphere of the whole place, but also the menu is completely Scandinavian.

Aan de Plas

Directly on the beach of the Ouderkerkerplas in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel you will find the terrace of Strandpaviljoen a/d Plas, where you can not only enjoy a delicious meal, but also chill out or plop down after a nice walk in the surrounding nature. Take a seat on the terrace or plop down on one of the beach beds. And if the weather is not so good, just take a seat in the cozy restaurant. a/d PLAS is open daily from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 am and parking is free.

Cozy terraces on squares and alleys in Delft

Besides the large and more famous squares in Delft, the Markt and the Beestenmarkt, you also have the Doelenplein. This square is a bit more hidden from the tourists, so you will see mostly local people here. And on this square you will find, among other things, restaurant LEF. This French restaurant is unique. With its concept, appearance and menu, but also with its location. Because the Doelenplein itself is already atmospheric. But with the decoration and the enthusiasm of the entrepreneurs located at this square it quickly becomes special. Many different activities are normally organized so as soon as the weather permits, there is always something to do. Do you like to sit in peace and enjoy delicious dishes in a cozy Delft alley? Then be sure to take a seat at lunchroom lunchroom Believe by Les Copains in the Breestraat.

Waterfront and canal-side terraces in Rotterdam

When we are in Rotterdam we always like to sit down at the terraces of Brasserie Uit ‘t Zuiden at their atmospheric location at the Noordsingel, next to the old prison, Tapasrestaurant Destino at the Zaagmolenkade with a spacious terrace at the waterfront and Hotel New York at the Kop van Zuid with a beautiful view on the river Maas. But you can also choose a piece of nostalgic Rotterdam; Delfshaven.

Delfshaven is one of the oldest parts of Rotterdam and has become increasingly popular in recent years because of its numerous eating and drinking establishments. And because of the sight of cozy bridges and the small harbor, it is the perfect place to take a seat on one of the terraces and enjoy the Rotterdam nostalgia. For example, take a seat on the terrace boat of ‘t Oude Bruggetje, along the water at Loes Delfshaven, or just have a drink at Stadsbrouwerij De Pelgrim with a view of the drawbridge.

The nicest terraces in Apeldoorn

There are many different terraces throughout Apeldoorn. But where is the best place to sit? We sought advice from our Apeldoorn expert Sandra and asked her to advise us where in this time of year you can find the nicest terraces in Apeldoorn. Sandra advises us to sit down on the Leienplein. Especially during the day you can sit here and enjoy a delicious drink and snack with a lively view right in the center. For example at Tapasbar de Buren, Het Nieuws Van Apeldoorn and Firma van Veldhuizen.
