Noa’s wine tasting Nov. 18
November eighteen was an exciting day for our intern Noa. That was the day the wine tasting she had organized took place. Because of the high number of Corona infections, it was exciting for a while, but luckily the event could go on! Below you can read Noa’s report of this day.
Wine tasting
My name is Noa and I am an intern at OpstapmetLisa. For my internship assignment I had to organize an event together with OpstapmetLisa. Since we are still in a Corona pandemic, it had to be something for a small group. So Ester and I came up with the idea of organizing a wine tasting event. I started looking for wine tasting providers and came across the website of Goed Glas Wijn. Goed Glas Wijn offers on-site wine tastings and has several types of tastings. In the end, we chose the Portuguese wine tasting!
The organization of the wine tasting
It is a lot of fun to organize such a wine tasting, but there is also quite a lot involved. I had to invite everyone, ask the partners of OpstapmetLisa to put a little something in the goodie bag, the location had to be arranged and it had to be nicely decorated. Last but not least, glasses and snacks had to be arranged. OpstapmetLisa location Believe by Les Copains in Delft was willing to provide these. After everything was arranged, the news came that events were no longer allowed after 18:00. We did want it to go on so we moved it to the afternoon. Fortunately, the company a Good Glass of Wine was flexible enough to go along. Unfortunately with a smaller company, because some people could not arrange a day off, but I was happy that it could go on!
Learning to smell and taste wine
We tasted and rated no less than 8 wines, 1 port and 1 liqueur with all the guests and our wine consultant Robin from a Good Glass of Wine. We were also taught the best way to taste and smell wine. I am not much of a wine connoisseur myself so had no idea but most of the wines were very tasty. If you still had a favorite wine during the wine tasting you could also order it for home! I enjoyed the experience and learned a lot more about wine and I would definitely recommend OpstapmetLisa to organize more events!
Will you be there next time?
After tasting all those wines we enjoyed all those goodies from Believe By les copains in Delft. We and our guests really liked them. So it was definitely worth repeating!
