New Food Tour at Inside Rotterdam
For Inside Rotterdam , too, the Corona measures have hit hard. The best organization for bicycle tours, food tours and guided tours in Rotterdam had to leave its bicycles in the garage since mid-March. Fortunately, the city gave them the green light to resume their tours at the end of May. Of course, the tours start with small groups and all guidelines are observed.
New tour developed
During the weeks that Inside Rotterdam was closed, they have certainly not been idle. A new culinary bicycle tour has been developed, the Food ‘n Route. This food tour takes you in small groups of 2 to 4 persons off the beaten track and to the nicest small entrepreneurs of Rotterdam. All of them entrepreneurs who are having a hard time these days. So by visiting these entrepreneurs in this tour, you also support your own locals! This tour starts on 1 July. Inside Rotterdam has a bike ready for you, but of course you can also come on your own bike.
Food ‘n Route
Food ‘n Route is a Do-It-Yourself food tour crisscrossing various Rotterdam neighborhoods, including five tastings. You will be immersed in unknown Rotterdam and taste the most delicious snacks from undiscovered delicatessens and local restaurants. From North to South, East to West, you’ll see it all. A fun audio guide will also tell you about the neighborhood, the entrepreneurs and the tastings. Expand your horizons, reset your taste buds and go on a local adventure!
5 neighborhoods, 5 tastings, 5 stories
The food tour starts in the center of Rotterdam and ends near Oostplein. You visit 5 different Rotterdam neighborhoods and get to know them with the help of the audio guide who tells you about the neighborhood. In each neighborhood you will visit one of the nicest local entrepreneurs where you will receive a delicious tasting. The audio guide will also give you detailed information about this.
So you cycle from district to district, from tasting room to tasting room, crisscrossing the city, via a photogenic route. What will you taste? How about:
- quirky chocolates to lick your fingers at;
- delicious vegan pastries with a refreshing drink;
- a street food snack straight from the oven at a Turkish bakery;
- a colorful salad on the banks of the Rotte;
- and to finish, a drinks board with a great glass of wine.
Together, the tastings guarantee a sumptuous lunch. Also suitable for vegetarians!
