Hospitable and lots to do!

This is what I found out when I started working as a sales manager for Best Western City Hotel in Woerden several years ago. I was pleasantly surprised by the enormous offer, special (hidden) treasures, the rich history but not to be underestimated; the hospitality and friendliness of the inhabitants!

When the weather is nice, it is great cycling through nature (the Meije) in this green heart, but also by boat it is a good place to be. More at the Emmakade where you can immediately take the opportunity to visit the tourist office which is located in the Cheese Warehouse . Here you can score some nice cheese souvenirs! After all, Woerden is known for its many regional products. On the VVV website ‘Beleef Woerden’ you will find many activities and markets that are all worth a visit.

Stroll through the cozy shopping streets Voorstraat and Rijnstraat, where, in addition to the familiar chains, you will find a variety of particularly original stores that you cannot and need not resist. Such as Alles is Liefde; for the best gift, the nicest card or just something for yourself!!! You by Sandra is also a store where you will leave happy, but certainly not empty-handed..

You can have lunch at Van Rossum with their special interior or one of the cozy restaurants on and around the Kerkplein. Chances are that when the weather is nice you won’t leave here.

Cultural Woerden

But there is so much more; a great way to discover the center and nature is with a tour with a Tuktuk. It will take you to all the places you must have seen!

End the day with one of the nicest theaters in our country: The Monastery. The name says it all; a special theater in an equally special building with a variety of performances. What to think of the SuperSunday in collaboration with HALL. The latter, by the way, is definitely worth a visit; delicious food in a very hip atmosphere!
