Going to the beach in the winter is wonderful. Get a breath of fresh air, enjoy the peace and quiet and the rustling of the waves. After a long walk on the beach, it is great to warm up at a nice beach bar, because fortunately beach bars are also open during the winter period!

In the winter, I have more trouble going out. To be honest, I love being at home by the heater. But still, it’s just right to get some fresh air in the winter. Especially for your mood! Earlier we wrote a blog about the best beach walks in autumn, but of course the same applies to winter. In the summer I don’t like to come to the beach because of the crowds, but in autumn and winter it’s precisely the peace and quiet that I enjoy so much. These days there are also more and more permanent beach bars where you can warm up after your walk.

Beach tent Aloha
Strandtent Aloha is not only a beach bar but also a real surf school. You can find Aloha at Strand Noord 2B in Scheveningen. You can come here for breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner. But also for a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate with a cake, this is the place to be. They also make their own delicious smoothies and juices. At Aloha they use 100% free-range and organic products. They also have all kinds of tasty things for vegetarians. They love local and homemade snacks and have as many as 22 types of beer!
Beach club De Waterreus
Strandtent de Waterreus has been a household name in Scheveningen for years. You can find this large, bright beach tent on the Strandweg 3A in Scheveningen. Monster also has a great beach club in the winter! This little gem will soon belong to one of your favorite winter spots!
The Coast Beach House
Open year-round,The Coast Beach House in Monster is truly the place to be in the West Country. The interior is dark and cozy but very modern. You will find this nice place on the Molenslag, right next to the beach entrance of Monster. The Coast stands on stilts which gives you a beautiful panoramic view. You can go there every day and your faithful canine friend is also welcome. Also great for parties and celebrations!
Noordwijk
Noordwijk is also a great place to be in winter!
Winterlodge
Winterlodge is a super nice location where you can relax. Also in the winter! This cozy beach club is open every day from 8:30 am and you can have breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner. The beach tent consists partly of a greenhouse, so even on cloudy days it is bright. Every table has its own fireplace and cozy hanging benches are everywhere. They prefer not to have dogs on the floor so keep that in mind. You can find Winterlodge at the Koningin Astridboulevard in Noordwijk.
Zeeland
We love coming to Zeeland. When we are there it feels like we are on vacation. Fortunately, you can also go here in the winter!
Beach bar Loods 10
Strandtent Loods 10 in Breskens is open all year round, although different opening hours apply during the winter months. In winter, this cozy beach club is only open from Thursday to Sunday from 11 am. You can find Loods 10 on the Nieuwesluisweg 50. Here you can really relax after a winter walk on the beach. Really delicious.
Beach bar Iloon
Strandtent Iloon in Ouddorp is also such a cozy place in the winter. Here you can enjoy a warm drink or a glass of wine by the wood stove. In fact, they have a carefully composed wine list and the homely, cozy atmosphere makes it complete. From the beach tent you have a wonderful view of the wide beach of Ouddorp. In cooperation with active businesses, there is always something to do at Strandtent Iloon.
