Would you like to do something fun with the kids, but really have no idea what you should do? Then this is the place to be! We have the best tips and outings for you, so neither you nor your kids will be bored. Especially during the vacation season, it is a challenge for many parents to come up with something that will keep the kids entertained the whole time. Since going to a zoo, amusement park or other similar place every day is not an option either, we have some great ideas that don’t necessarily have to cost money. So if you could use some inspiration, check here for the best outings with kids and surprise your kids with a day out to remember!

Take a walk in the woods with the kids

What child doesn’t like to go to the woods with their parents and romp around together? Especially during autumn, when the trees slowly lose their leaves and the acorns and chestnuts fall from the trees, it is fun to take a big bag and collect as much as possible. For example, you can make a nice autumn table together at home or a spider with a chestnut and toothpicks. The nice thing about a walk in the woods, is that you can also teach your children a little bit about how nature works right away.

Go back in history

Most children who hear the word history immediately think of the often boring lessons at school. Yet history is not only incredibly educational, but also fun. For example, how cool is it to take your children to a palace or castle, where they can see how things used to be. For example, Palace ‘t Loo is largely open to visitors and there are many other similar possibilities where you can teach your children about the old days in a fun yet educational way. What many children often do not realize is that history has made us live the way we do today.

Go for adventure

What could be more fun than going on an adventure with your children. Not only parents enjoy this, but of course the kids do too. You can opt for an afternoon at the climbing forest, where they can let off steam, but an escaperoom, for example, is also fun to ensure that they have to put that gray matter to work. Because not every activity is suitable for all ages, it is wise to find out beforehand. It is annoying that you arrive at the climbing forest with your children and they do not meet the minimum age or height requirements. Fortunately, there are plenty of alternatives, but it is useful to check in advance. That way, you avoid having to disappoint your children.
