We did the Westland Coast Experience!

We from OpstapmetLisa love to be in Westland and can often be found there. Therefore, we did not have to think long when we received an invitation to get to know Westland even better, for the campaign The Westland coast, your coast. This is an initiative of Visit Westland, which promotes Westland. We had a super fun day and are happy to tell you all about it!

Sailing with the e-sloop

On behalf of De Zweth in Kwintsheul we were allowed to go out with an Electro-sloop (whisper boat). We had this boat at our disposal for 3.5 hours! We chose a route from the Zweth through Kwintsheul in the direction of Poeldijk and via Honselersdijk and the flower auction via De Lier back to the Zweth. Such an e-boat steers very easily although you have to get the hang of it. Our adolescent also got to steer for a while. We were lucky with the weather and, because the forecast for that day was not too good, it was also very quiet on the water. That was really relaxing! We enjoyed our cruise. We ended the fun afternoon with a drink at the Zweth. Highly recommended to do with the family or some girlfriends.

But you can do much more at De Zweth. Owner Sjors Janzsen started renting out canoes in 1992. This became such a success that they quickly expanded. Together with his wife Mariska, he now runs a successful recreation business. You can rent (electric) bikes, pedal boats, scooters, tandems, canoes and e-sloops, but there is also plenty to do on the grounds themselves. There is a playground, a mini-golf course and a spectacular survival course that our son tried before. Not really successfully, but the next year he succeeded in one go. Hilarious it was though!

Several fun arrangements

In addition to all the fun activities, you can book several packages. Examples are ‘t Rondje Appeltaart, the BBQ Arrangement and the Drinks Arrangement. But you can also sit down for coffee and apple pie as a break from your cycling or walking tour. The surroundings are beautiful and definitely recommended! Enjoy at Bondi Beach

To end the day, we were pampered at Bondi Beach Club. You can find Bondi Beach Club at Molenslag beach in Monster. Bondi Beach Club is really a beach club where you immediately feel at home and welcome. There is a relaxed atmosphere: really a place to unwind. And the food is delicious! They only use quality products and you can taste that. They have a menu with something for everyone.

The weather kept coming along this day, so when we drove to Monster Beach, the sun was still shining. We were even able to sit outside at Bondi Beach Club and we were immediately pampered with some goodies to drink and a super fresh break bread with aoli and pesto. Sonlief decided to brave the beach and we ordered an appetizer: a carpaccio of smoked rib-eye. This one was really delicious and would not be out of place in a good restaurant. The main course was just as good: chicken satay and the Bondi Beach Burger. The adolescent still had some room left and ordered the cheesecake to go while we enjoyed the setting sun with a cup of coffee. What a great ending to a wonderful day on the Westland coast!
