If you are lucky they are even setting up a specimen that you can just come and see. And a visit to Trix, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, is worthwhile anyway.
Museum Boerhaave in Leiden
We stay in Leiden for a while for Museum Boerhaave. This small but charmingly designed museum houses a replica of the anatomical theater from when it was an academic hospital. With a spectacular projection show, children can marvel at the wonders of the medical world. In addition, there are all kinds of fun and interesting experiments to do, and there is a water playground in the courtyard where your kids can have fun when the weather is nice.
