We played Legenda Basilicae!
I like to undertake fun things with girlfriends, but corona has thrown a spanner in the works for a long time. Fortunately, we can do more and more! We especially love escape rooms! This time we went to Outdoor Escape Hoeven where a tough challenge awaited us at Legenda Basilicae. Did we manage to crack the code in time?
Outdoor Escape
In the middle of the week, I went with three girlfriends in the evening to Outdoor Escape Hoeven, at a beautiful place in the woods of Brabant! We regularly go to escaperooms together, but had never played an outdoor escape before. Amidst the corona measures, this way of an escape is possible and besides, tracking in a forest is a lot of fun! The men were at home with the kids so we could drive to Brabant at 5 in the afternoon. An hour of travel time is quite nice: catching up! And the way back another hour, ideal!
Explanations and hints
The owner of Outdoor Escape, Richard, was waiting for us at an entrance to the forest, which had been clearly described by email. In a clearing was a table with the first clue and tools. Including walkie-talkies, which soon proved their service in the forest. Richard gave us a very clear explanation and there was room for questions. Asking hints results in penalty minutes, he told us. 😉 A tip I should have remembered better: do more at a distance. Etherdiscipline
Richard also had a walkie-talkie with which he could monitor our conversations and give hints if necessary. As experienced escapers, we didn’t need those we thought in advance. But nothing was less true. So much fresh air and accompanying oxygen and still not being able to come up with some things. It was a very versatile and challenging escape! Our etherdiscipline went very well by the way, Ellie Lust would be proud of us.
Enjoyed it!
We thoroughly enjoyed the escape, the beautiful surroundings, Richard’s Brabant conviviality and each other’s company! All four of us had not done much entertaining together for a long time due to the limitations, so this evening was extra nice!
Next time the Turfstekers!
We chose to do the Legenda Basilicae this time, but Outdoor Escape also has a peat stealers XL version, which we can go to with lots of girlfriends! Escape games are also fun with a large group. The last time we did this we split into four groups of five people. So we can return to the Pagnevaart with cars full for the Peat Cutters XL! Richard told us that it is in the same forest, but a completely different escape with different places than the Basilicae, perfect!
Nothing but praise for Legenda Basilicae! All four of us knew of no downside. Only when it rains is maybe a bit unfortunate, but then they hand out ponchos and that also gives some atmosphere. I think it is definitely worth repeating and highly recommended for all escape fans. This is super fun!!!
