Lianne’s favorite spots from Hudson Voorschoten

Fortunately, a little more is allowed than a few months ago, but we still have to be careful. Currently, measures have tightened a bit, but fortunately (almost normal) shopping and eating out are allowed again. So it’s high time to take a closer look at the favorites of one of our locations! This time, Lianne Buijs, owner of restaurant Hudson Voorschoten, tells us the first things she will do when the weather is allowed!

We asked Lianne: What do you prefer to do and who do you take with you?

Shopping

I love to pop into town on Mondays, when everyone is off to work. And by that I mean downtown The Hague. I like to keep it nice and close to home; I can get there by bike in 10 minutes.

Eating out

Encore by Simonis is the first restaurant I love to go to. What a beautiful place and great food, great service, they have everything! Little V is also one of my favorites so it will be hard to choose!

Drinks

I love coming to the Grote Markt in The Hague. I’m not very pub-bound, but I alternate the bars. Still, the Boterwaag is one of my favorites.

Sports

My gym is around the corner from my work so I can combine it nicely as soon as everything is allowed to reopen. I’ll be totally happy when everything returns to normal and you can use the shower after exercising as well.

Leisure activities

I am a real bon vivant and love going out for coffee, lunch or dinner. What a treat if that will soon be possible again spontaneously.

Weekend away

We often go away for the weekend with friends. I don’t really care where we go, as long as we are together and there is a Jacuzzi in the garden!

Vacations abroad

2020 has rescheduled 2 vacations of mine, so I have some catching up to do. The first will be to Portugal, nice port tasting in Porto, a city trip to Lisbon and then on to the beautiful beaches and relax. I’m looking forward to it! After that, the plan was to take a tour of Nicaragua. That will probably be a little later because of some financial problems, but we will start saving again for a great adventure!
