Escaperoom Vreemde vogel uitgelicht

Our guest blogger Ingeborg recently visited a fun escaperoom with her family. De Vreemde Vogel in Vlaardingen is suitable for the whole family! You can read her experiences in this blog!

Escaperoom for the whole family

My son of 11 had been wishing for a long time; to do an escaperoom. I found that tricky though, there are quite a few kids escaperooms, but aren’t they too childish? After all, he’s already 11 😉 ! And the ones for adults are really still too difficult.

Vreemde Vogel escaperoom

During my scavenger hunt, I ended up at the Strange Bird. A great location to have lunch, play and of course stay overnight. But I did not know the escaperoom yet. We were attracted by the story of this escaperoom about Prof. Dr. Fügel and the last living Di-Da-Dodo bird. So reserved for my son and his best friends.

The Strange Bird

Upon arrival, it was very cozy and lively at the Strange Bird. It couldn’t be any different because everything had just reopened, the weather was beautiful and it was a Sunday! It always feels like arriving there on vacation. With a little introduction, we were taken to the escaperoom. All put on orange dust jackets and the door closed, saying SUCCESS! Of course Prof. Dr. Fügel welcomed us in there with an introductory video.

Challenging escaperoom

I’m not going to give away any secrets, of course, but it was a challenging escape. I am not an experienced “escaper,” if I can call it that. So it was frequently searching what the solution was and the boys were able to do a lot on their own. Fortunately there was a hint to be found with every task, but of course we used them as little as possible!

Vreemde Vogel picknickplek

There were many fun surprises and the hour flew by. But fortunately we “only” needed 55 minutes to save the Di-Da-Dodo bird from extinction, pfieuw…..

Highly recommended!

Afterwards we enjoyed ourselves in the garden. While enjoying a delicious drink and snack, we still “evaluated” the escaperoom. That was quickly done, we agreed unanimously. This escaperoom was in 1 word ‘great’! Afterwards we wandered around the picnic field and went home satisfied! Back to ‘real world’ again…
