For many people, a day on the water is the ultimate relaxation. So we went looking for the nicest places to rent a whisper boat. Just a day of nothing, just enjoying on the water. So pack the sunscreen and some goodies and get out on the water!

Sailing on the Nieuwkoop lakes

The Nieuwkoopse Plassen are truly a gem in the Green Heart. The low moorland swamps provide typical Dutch pictures. Once there were many more low moorland areas in our country, but unfortunately the Nieuwkoopse Plassen are now unique in their kind. As are all the special plant and bird species found there. With a whisper boat you do not disturb the animals too much and you can enjoy the tranquility and beautiful nature. You emerge from small, adventurous ditches to larger lakes. Strandpaviljoen Strand Zomer is located on the Nieuwkoopse Plassen, where you can have a wonderful time. You can rent a whisper boat for €25 per hour from Nikano.

Enjoy National Park Weerribben-Wieden

The Weerribben-Wieden is a huge lake and marsh area where as many as 140 to 150 bird species breed. In addition to nature, there are also all kinds of nice water villages to visit. Think of Giethoorn, Blokzijl or Belt-Schutsloot. The labyrinth of lakes and ponds is perfect for exploring by whisper boat. You can rent a whisper boat at various places, such as Restaurant ‘t Binnenhof in Paasloo. You can even book an entire package there so you can fully enjoy the entire area. You will find this restaurant at Villapark De Weerribben. You can also rent a whisper boat at nature recreation company De Gele Lis. There you can rent a whisper boat for € 35, – per 2 hours.

Rent a whisper boat in North Holland

There are several places in North Holland where you can rent a whisper boat. We look at two of our favorite places. The first place we look at is the Spiegelplas. This lake is so named because the water is so clear you can see right through it. From the little beaches and islands you can therefore take a refreshing dip with confidence. The lakes were created by peat and sand extraction. The water in some places is as much as 45 meters deep and is therefore ideal for diving. But it is also a wonderful place to take a whisper boat out on the water. You can rent a whisper boat for € 145 for a whole day.

Waterland is also a perfect place to explore by whisper boat. Half of this area consists of water. You will pass places like Broek in Waterland, Marken and Monnickendam with your whisper boat. You can rent a whisper boat from Theetuin Overleek for €45 for 2 hours.

Beaver spotting in National Park De Biesbosch

The enormously green Biesbosch looks like a jungle in the summer! Besides a lot of animal species such as deer, birds (like the kingfisher!) and foxes, you can also spot the beaver here! There are about 300 beavers in the Biesbosch and they show themselves mainly at dusk. You can rent a whisper boat at Oversteeg Marina. Here you can rent a whisper boat from € 125.
