It’s autumn again! And that means all kinds of treasures can be found in nature again. But there is more to do! We have searched for you for fun tips for the autumn vacations, for example, but actually these tips can be done all autumn!
Mushroom hunting
Do you still have an old camera lying around somewhere or a phone that you can take pictures with? With this, let your child take pictures of mushrooms you find in the forest! Earlier we wrote a blog about the places where you can find the most mushrooms. You can find that blog here. But also in your area there is probably a forest where your child can capture the most beautiful specimens!
Treasure hunts with Lotje
Izi.Travel is a free app with lots of different audio scavenger hunts: also for kids! In fact, the app features a lot of fun treasure hunts by Lotje that you can do together with your kids. The smartphone treasure hunts are suitable for children aged 6 to 12 and the walks are about 3 km long. The Lotje treasure hunts can be found mainly near museums, vacation parks and nature reserves.
In search of gnomes near Nijmegen
For the little ones, VVV Nijmegen has created a super fun gnome scavenger hunt. You can download the GPS route for free on the VVV Nijmegen website. The route is 2 kilometers long and during your walk there are all kinds of fun gnome games and assignments.
What sound does that animal make?
What sound does the blackbird make and how do rabbits talk to each other? Quest Junior and Storytel have teamed up for this and created a super fun listening animal sounds game. This is really fun to do with your kids. Oerrr from Natuurmonumenten has created a special scavenger hunt kit that you can use with your kids. This way you can put together your own scavenger hunt! Along the way, the kids can think of all kinds of assignments to make the scavenger hunt even more fun and challenging. And did everyone complete the scavenger hunt? City scavenger hunt in Gouda
You don’t necessarily have to be in the woods to do a scavenger hunt. In Gouda, you can do a city scavenger hunt with the kids. You can buy this scavenger hunt for €4.95 at Gouda’s VVV tourist office or online via the website.
