Of course you know Rotterdam from shopping in the koopgoot, eating in the Markthal and walking along the Nieuwe Maas river. But do you already know the Rotterdam countryside? There are no less than 7 cycling routes and 5 walking routes in the neighborhood to explore the area properly. By bike, for example, try the 29.5 km Polderpadroute or the Mooi Midden-Delfland Route. This way you really see South Holland in a completely different way. Nice walking routes include the Vlinderroute. It is only 1 km, so also very nice to do with small children. A slightly longer walk is from Rotterdam City to Rotterdam Countryside. This route is about 10 km. Do you have adventurous kids? Then in the same region De Belevenisboerderij in Schieveen is highly recommended! This farm belongs to Natuurmonumenten and is completely OERRR! There is also a nice route from the Melkschuur Zuidpolder to De Belevenisboerderij of 1.5 km.
