Doing fun things when you are alone

Some people can stand it better than others: being alone. Sometimes it is just nice not to have other people around you, not to have to take others into account. We have tips to help you have a good time on your own!
At home
Is the weather not so good? Then you should make yourself at home! I’m a real homebody myself, so I’m a fan of all the things below. Even when the weather is nice. I really enjoy a day at home alone and it recharges my batteries.
Pamper yourself with a beauty treatment
Fill up the bathtub and give yourself an extensive beauty treatment. Take a hair mask and give your nails an extra treat. Use a fine scrub to make your hud nice and soft again. You will feel reborn when you step out of the bath. Finish off with a nice face mask to cleanse your pores and a nice body lotion. You’ll be nice and rosy afterwards. The best feeling in the world! Shuffle the furniture
Toss the furniture and give your living room a completely new look. Or take a critical look at your stuff. A tidy house is a tidy head and if you put on some nice music it’s nice too! Lazy on the couch
Settle down on the couch with Netflix, Videoland or Prime Video and binge-watch for hours. Grab a bowl of chips or a bar of chocolate and enjoy! Or read that good book that has been waiting for you for months. Delicious with a cup of tea. Just let things go and don’t feel guilty about it, wonderful!
Trying out a new recipe
Another thing I always enjoy is trying out a new recipe. First the pre-fun of picking and getting all the ingredients and then get to work! Don’t have anyone to eat all the food with? Then visit your parents, brother, sister, friend or that neighbor you’ve been talking to for far too long with your homemade culinary creation.
Out and about!
Grab your camera or phone and just get outside. Capture all the fun, beautiful and inspiring things with your camera. It could be a mural, a beautiful building, a special flower or a cute animal you meet. Meanwhile, settle down on a cozy terrace and just look around. Perhaps after your outing you will find yourself full of new energy and inspiration.
Nice workout
There are many benefits to exercising alone. For example, go for a run! If you are alone, you can set your own pace and listen to music. Or get on your bike and go for a ride. Who knows, you might even discover a new route! But walking is also nice, even if the weather isn’t great. Research shows that you sleep much better after a brisk walk. And are you rained out and blown away? Then the shower will warm you up again. Afterwards, just put on your most pleasant outfit. Exercise, whatever you do, makes you feel good. After all, you did it again!
Discovering a new city
Visiting a city you normally never visit is super fun! Or just go “rediscover” your own city. Look through the eyes of a tourist. Take pictures of buildings you see almost every day. Bet you’ll look at them with different eyes after this? Have you taken a good look at that beautiful historic building? And did you know there was a cozy park there? A trip down memory lane
What is also super fun is to go back in time. Visit places like your old elementary school, the old neighborhood where you lived or where you used to play all the time. Bet you’ll think back to the fun things of your childhood
Take a long beach – or forest walk
Nothing is better than taking a brisk walk. Feel the wind through your hair and enjoy the peace and quiet around you. No people around for a while, how wonderful is that? Here are our tips for the most beautiful beach walks, forest walks and dune walks!
Visit the library
Be honest, how long has it been since you have been to the library? Go there to browse among all the books. Who knows, you might discover a new author!
Go to the cinema
Going to a movie theater by yourself is not weird at all. Therefore, you can feel free to do it. Will you choose a romantic swoon film, a comedy or an exciting movie? Treat yourself to a tasty bowl of popcorn, bring tissues and forget about it.
Let yourself be pampered
Go to the hairdresser and get a new color or a whole new cut! If you don’t dare, don’t worry because a nice head massage is always nice. Or take a nice facial at a beauty salon or visit a sauna. We bet you will walk out of there refreshed and refreshed?
